no, if culture wins in this poll and no to disband wins in the other poll, the officials must find a way to win by culture without disbanding stuff in that city...

I've got about 14 things to say about the current situation, but I won't. No time, and I doubt if it's wise; I'll think about it and maybe edit this post later.

One thing, though: it's hard to win a cultural victory. It's one of the bloodiest ways to win a game of Civ and there's nothing particularly refined or elevated - cultural - about it. In my own games I haven't won a cultural victory for over a year now because every time I set out to do so, I reach this point. It's so easy to find excuses to win by domination. Winning a cultural victory, and doing it well, is more a test of character than skill. Clearly in my own games my character may be found wanting.

We are Fanatannians all, and here to serve the greater good of all of Fanatannia. This requires game decisions that may personally irk us, and are even out of character with our ideals. However, Democracy is untidy, and that's what we've chosen to play. Life isn't neat; why should be expect our game to be so?

Indeed, vote culture and assure 200 turns of torment to the Designated Player on autopilot and with no real mission but pressing enter, what a great victory.

We knew right from the start what our goal was, so we are just doing the right thing by voting for culture.

I don't know why the poll is to last over a week but as of 3 days later (from the time it was put up) the vote is Culture 12, Domination 8 and 4 abstained out of a total of 24 voters.

This is when the poll should of been closed.

I voted domination, all we need is one friggin turnchat to win the game, ONE. Continuing on culture will drag the game on for another 20 or 30 turnchats min. Also, who's to say that another event like Gordium won't occur again, pushing us back even further and forcing anothe 3 week discussion. 1 turnchat is all we need.

it looks like we successuly extended the game another 125 turns... at an optimal rate of 10 turns per turnchat and 8 TCs a month, this will get done mid-late august(1.5 monthes)... but we could have finished it at the next TC,
well I wonder whats gonna happen to participation now that we 150% know we will win and there is nothing to do for 1.5 monthes...
congrats on liteally killing participation

I'm swapping my vote and I encourage others to do so as well. Same goes with the abstain people.

this is getting tedious and dull. Lets just deleted end this game already. By winning, we've lost the spirit to go on.

There's still a day and there's still time to switch.
