I was just wondering if there was any plans to add a powerful hero that requires an armageddon counter of 70 (ie Messhaber of Dis and The Mithral Golem) for each religion?

I just think it's strange that only the Ashen Veil and Runes of Kilmorph get these powerful apocalyptic heroes.

I second this, each religion, (or at the *very* least, the Order, should get their own avatars.) Maybe the Fellowship of leaves could have some "Tree-ent of Doom", the OO some sort of Cthulhu ripoff monster (you know you all want one:p ) , the Order maybe getting some sort of "Chosen of Junil, a superstrong guy charged by law and etc.

ehh, blanking on ideas, even bad ones, for Esus and Empyrean.

I think that's a great idea.

Also, just to throw it out there, I've been bummed out when I'm building one of those 70+ guys when the AC takes a hit, drops below 70 and I lose all my progress. Is there something that could be done about that? Either let you continue to build should the AC drop below 70 or perhaps make them not so expensive so the lose is less painful?

it does seem wierd that the runes of kilmorph gets an avatar but the order dosn't. although giving the order one might become counter-intuitive as order civs might try to raise the counter instead.

Weird idea: Give them an Avatar that is only avaiable with 70+ counter, but that is less powerful the higher the counter. So, if the counter does reach 70+, the Order guys can build the Avatar, but would still gain by lowering the counter, as their avatar would become stronger.

As I understand ultimate battle (the very Armageddon) is planned after most living units are killed at AC=100 (and enraged by the Avatar of Wrath before), when angelic and demonic armies will get huge number of recruits. So ultimate heroes should not be living units.

Both Meshabber and MG are not living units. There are also angels and Sphener who is quite strong. Maybe The War Machine. Who else? Undeads? :D

I think that the OO should get something like a Kraken, to rule the seas completely.
And i second like a massive Treant for the FoL
RoK doesn't actually benefit from a high AC either, but the idea is an avatar to defend the religion in the final battle.

Whoever the AC 70 Overlords Hero is, he definately needs the following:
  • Water Walking
  • Increased speed over water
  • Command (ala Inquisitors)
  • A special ability that mutates any units that he takes over

Ahhhhh so I see you've heard the legend of Qxsaeaghrs's'sCruephth's mighty Wooglooscr!

"They are not husband and wife but four separate creatures". :old:

OO does get krakens, though.

the AC never, ever gets high enough for more than the first horseman to pop in my games. I'm certainly not pumping it, and the AI doesnt seem to bother.

Yeah, that's right... I was just thinking like Pirates of the Caribbean kraken.
I always try and pump the AC no matter who I play, it gets around 60 at best.

I wish that the AC just increased on it's own slowly, relative to the turn count of the game.

Isn't it a reward for the "evil" nations when raising the AC counter? Why should the good nations benefit from it?

Evil has a lot of disadvatages why should we take away one of the evil nations features?

I think silverkiss's idea would be pretty interesting, make good-aligned apocalypse heroes only buildable at AC 70, but make their strength go down *sharply* when it hits 80, 90 etc.

Or if you want to be really cruel, make it go down one with every point of AC, *that'll* give things some urgency :mischief:
