Does anyone have this condition. I hate it. I have tried so many things and am Prioselc now. I got one doctor telling me to take it when needed (recently), another doctor told me in 2009 to take it every day, the latter telling me to eat whatever I want and reading online I have to watch what I eat so I do burn my up stomach and get cancer.

So it's like, meh. 1-3 days I eat stuff that doesn't bother me and then 1-2 days I eat stuff that does and so on so forth. Meh.

:lol::goodjob:

Trust the most recent advice of doctor.

I get it from time to time. If it's where you get a mouthful of vomit or bile from time to time. I just swallow it back down as quick as I can and drink some water.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when I get it.

Have you tried cutting out any particular foods one at a time and seeing if this has any effect?

And yeah trust the doctor over a website every time.

Yea. I do try cutting out foods that bother me. Yesterday I went healthy and has a tasty chicken salad from a good place 5 minutes from my house. Today I am thinking about eating a small pizza and some milk which I know will bother my stomach, but tomorrow I'll won't eat anything bad,etc..

eat less. (and more often if need be).

keep in mind that medication like omeprazol is probably linked with a high risk of getting osteoporosis later in life.

Have you tried more acidic things with you food? Like a nice vinaigrette with your salad. Or eating more tomatoes generally. And how about yoghurt instead of milk?

I think too much milk doesn't agree with me. Though it is one of my favourite things.

more acidic things doesnt make sense. you dont want to add more acid to your already vast amount of gastric acid.

yoghurt like milk contains a certain amount of fat. having fat in your stomach will make it produce more gastric acid. generally bad thing.

That sounds exactly like what I have or had, but now it has gotten worse since then and now so many more thing cause the problem. I was given a pill that was meant to help but it never did, so I stopped taking it. The problem is that you have an intestinal parasite infection.

.

Well it might - if eating more acid means your stomach doesn't produce quite so much.

As you get older - which surely doesn't apply in Mr E's case - I'm told you need to eat more acidic things.

Anyway, anything is worth a try just to see what effect it has. Acid Reflux is hardly a life-threatening condition, so a bit of experimentation probably isn't going to hurt.

Unless you take to drinking liquid nitrogen, of course. But that's another subject.

look, his problem is an overflow of gastric acid. vinegar is amongst the last things he should eat.

reflux causes chronic inflammation of the esophagus, which will almost inevitably lead to cancer somewhere down the line.
a kind of cancer, btw, that has about the same prognosis as lung cancer, meaning a 5 year survival rate of about 8%.

Now I think you're over-reacting. Over 60 million Americans have acid reflux from time to time. Say once a month.

But yes, that link is only a website. Mr E should rely on his doctor's advice.

It can, very very rarely, lead to Barrett's thingy. And you're right, throat cancer is nasty. But let's keep a sense of perspective.

or maybe not. well, most probably not.

Based on his symptoms, it is extremely similar to what I am going through, but not as dramatic and I have been tested properly for parasites and found to be present with them. The first thing that started to go was my tolerance to dairy products, then the next problem was carbohydrates and sugars. While the test doesn't specify the exact parasite, due to the fact that it's DNA sequence is not on a list, that list is very limited right now and many more parasites and strains of parasites are still to be found and given a work over. Based on my symptoms I believe that I have a Blasotcystis Infection. I have previous overcome a Dientamoeba fragilis which thankfully was found by the tests and promptly treated.

Yeah. Never eat processed food.

What's processed food, btw?

Is bread a processed food?

And I heard to little stomach acid from Priseoc and others can cause stomach cancer due to bacteria. So either way... aren't I'm in trouble? :(

probably. but we're talking about regular, almost daily reflux here, not once a month.
which, untreated, after a decade or two will lead to a barret's esophagus and cancer later on.

esophageal cancer, btw, not throat cancer.

"his symptoms" is reflux.
but thanks for your diagnosis.

just fix your diet and you should be fine.

How about pasteurized milk? Definitely processed, I'd say.

Cheese?
