Additional Civilizations (by DJSHenninger)

Hey, this is your mod, you can choose whatever you want, my friend :)

Anyway, for The Great Seljuks; Alp Arslan or Malik-Shah I and for Sultanate of Rome; Kilij Arslan I or Kayqubad I

Serbia updated:
- New UA name: Artisans of Studenica
- UA slightly changed: Kefalija can build an improved mine without needing a regular mine, but can only be built on resources (Copper, Iron, Coal, Silver, Gold, Aluminum, Uranium)
- This above change fixes a bug that rendered Mints and Forges unbuildable after improving a source of iron, silver or gold.

Great civs! :)
You could make whole European countries' civs.. Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and etc. would be awesome! :D

Thanks! I think there are good Lithuanian civilizations out there already. Haven't really looked at the other countries you mentioned. I have sufficient ideas for new civilizations at the moment ;)

Edit: Bosnia update
- Stecak now available at Masonry.
- Trait changed: instead of free caravan, free caravansary in all cities.
- Trait fixed: Workboat, Caravan and cargo ship are classified as military units and would lose 50% production and gain 50%, so the net change is 0.

So, I remade the Tomislav (Croatia) icon, but I got two versions and can't decide.

1)

2)

Ok, there's no huge difference, but there's still a significant difference in the background. First or second one?

Edit: went for the second one :)

Are these compatible with the YNAEMP map/mod/whatever?

Hmm :p I don't even have that mod. Never tried. So I really don't know how to make these mods compatible with that.
--------------------
Georgia update:
- Updated diplo screen
- Updated DOM screen
- Updated Khevsur icon
- Updated civilization icon and colors slightly
- New UB: Svanetian Tower, replaces the Holy Trinity Cathedral
- Holy Trinity Cathedral still usable, see instructions. Holy Trinity Cathedral now also provides +1 culture for each bonus resource and doesn't take longer to build the more cities there are in the empire

Nepal update:
- Trait expanded: now also able to convert gems to jewelry if there's a nearby source of ivory, pearls or copper
- Updated civilization icon
- Trait name changed

Croatia update:
- New leader icon
- Updated civilization icon
- Trait name changed

Croatia:
- Unit skin by Bernie14 added

Burma:
- Civilization icon updated
- Anawrahta icon updated
- Trait changed: Gold from gems removed. Free Tech Mining removed. Added +1 Gold from Engineer Specialists
- UB changed: +2 Gold removed. Added extra engineer specialist slot (synergizes with trait)

Romania:
- UU changed: now all Dorobanti have no maintenance cost, but suffer a defense penalty. This reflects Romania's ability to have a large army. Becomes obsolete at Mobile Tactics.

Bulgaria (Krum):
- Trait changed, Siege units trained in conquered cities have +1 movement (previously +2), but suffer no penalty.
- Small graphic bug fixed with Proniar
- Proniar changed: +20% defense, +20% strength when attacking wounded units and starts with Drill I promotion. Has no defensive terrain bonuses anymore. This change makes it more offensive instead of defensive while giving them some kind of weakness: open terrain.

Azerbaijan:
- Tourism percent from UB changed to 10 (was 15).

Bohemia:
- Civilization icon updated
- Hussite Handgunner icon updated
- Czech gothic structure icon updated
- Hussite handgunner changed: is now both a melee and ranged unit (ranged strength 24, range 2). Still has +30% combat strength versus cities and fortified units

Armenia:
- Civilization icon updated
- Tigranes II art updated (icon, DOM, diplo)
- Trait changed: Tsovits Tsov Hayastan - +2 Culture and +1 Production in the Capital for each Honor policy adopted. +1 Tourism in conquered cities
- +1 Culture added to Khachkar
- Unit changed: Azatavrear. Replaces the Horseman. Extra effect(s):
> Has no city attack penalty
> Ignores building defense when attacking cities
> Starts with Cover I
> -1 movement

Khmer Empire:
- Added new UI: Temple Mountain. The building version of the Temple Mountain is still available.

Sorry to bother, and this may be out of the question, but would it be possible to convert a few more of those civilizations to vanilla? There is absolutely no way I'm gonna be able to get BNW or G&K for a few months, and I love the mod community for Civ V, but there's absolutely nothing out there anymore for vanilla users aside from some fairly small and usually kind of crappy mods. :(

As a quick question - what's stopping you from getting BNW/G&K?

Also can we please see an in-game screenshot of the Temple Mountain?

Sure, the graphics are from the in-game's Angkor Wat, which was made possible by Ekmek.

Just finished updating the BNW mods that I wanted to update. The next thing I wanted to do is updating all of the Gk and Vanilla versions of my mods. Problem is, I lost exactly almost all of my Gk and Vanilla mods when switching computers -_- This means I need to rebuild and re-adjust everything and common mistakes will probably be made during the process. In other words, it's not fun and time consuming, so it will take a while before everything is done. Also, if I want to make more Gk/Vanilla mods, I probably need to change traits as well.
--------------
Romania bug fixed. Should have tested it beforehand lol.

Ah, okay.

So, I played another game with Bosnia.
And I take everything back about the Stecak being underpowered, now I am sure that it is overpowered!

Essentially, I built them, removed them, and built them another tile away.
I also used this on my rivals, China only had 1 tile per city left... the city itself

A really good Civ in my opinion :goodjob:. Kulin would have been proud.

Anyways, any ideas about Macedonia?

Thanks. And the Stecak can be fixed easily, just never thought about that :p I currently don't have good ideas for Macedonia. Only that Samuel/Samuil will be the leader. And if he's going to be the leader, it'll probably a defensive civilization. You could help me with ideas for uniques if you want to, I'd appreciate it. Just started making some Samuel art :p

An interesting read, so he may have been Armenian, huh?

Anyways, a quick search brought these guys up http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolves_(military)

Sadly, they are probably too modern, although there's not much to find since Macedonia wasn't really independent for the most time.
Either way, do you think you'll use this as an icon http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Macedonian_lion,_1620,_stylized.svg

Yeah, although modern ethnicities shouldn't be used for the past. That being said, I'll still call this civ Macedonia ;D. As for the wolves, probably too modern :p And I'll probably end up using that lion, although I haven't looked into other possibilities yet. Perhaps something from Ohrid or Skopje.
