You could apply the random feature and terrain names you see for rivers and mountains and combine them with units lost or wounded to form a battle of x.
Say your in a war. Some units on either side are lost in the vicinity of lake superior. Therefore, a battle of lake superior gets added to that event highlight display and you get golden age points.
