Also, my undying gratitude and friendship. Simply bring this package to Lula, spend a day or two there, and my agent will make contact with you. Now, when you leave here, I recommend you act as you would have anyways and make no unusual behavior or activities. Take your time, and do not seem as though you are on a mission from me. A decoy package, crafted to look exactly like this one will be leaving on the caravan tomorrow as a cover. With luck, when that caravan is destroyed, they will think they have the real one. You leave the mansion and head back to your room at the Waycross Inn. Your companions have plenty to say on the matter, and you hear them out.

Option 3 Selected

You head west out of town, with the idea of eventually making your way north to Lula with the rest of your party. You spend almost two days on the road when you hear an ungodly yelping from behind some trees. You can see a dog in a small pond, apparently struggling to keep its head above water. Not hesitating for a moment, you dive in to help the poor creature and try to bring it back to land. You swim in and find that it is caught on some old world junk in the lake, and try to free it. You manage and try to keep both of your heads above water as you swim back to shore. Sadly you fail, and by the time you reach the shore the dog has drowned as you were unable to keep it above water. This has had a somewhat negative effect on your party’s morale. (Endurance Challenge Failed; -5 Reputation with all party members)

You are encamped near the ruins of Pearson, GA

1. The ruins nearby are of a small town and appear to be sparsely populated with wildlife. They appear to be untouched by salvagers and could hold good loot. 2 Days

As you have before, the group splits up to search the area of Pearson for anything of value. Salma volunteers to stay behind to watch the camp for the time being. You notice a mostly intact building that appears to once have been some sort of law enforcement building. You enter first, as the only one wearing armor, and it proves to be a good thing you did. You accidentally trigger a pressure plate beneath some old rubble and receive a chest full of buckshot from a rigged shotgun. Thankfully your armor absorbed the rounds, but it does some damage, and you get the wind knocked out of you for just a moment. After searching the building you do find an old police issued 9mm pistol. (Perception Challenge Failed; -20% Damage to OPD Swat Armor)

North Selected

You head north from Pearson, taking a more direct route in the direction of Lula. You manage to make it a couple of days without an incident, when you encounter a group of aimlessly travelling robots. They appear to be fairly standard Mr. Handys and you decide to make an attempt at hacking one to bring it along for your trip. You have had practice at this sort of thing before, and you are eager to replace the one you had lost previously. You are completely successful and manage to bring the robot online to act as an assistant to your journey. You manage to further program in a guard routine to help protect your party while everyone can manage to sleep. (Mr. Handy joins the party)

1. Once again you can see some small town ruins that appear to never have been thoroughly salvaged by other people. There could be new opportunity here. 2 Days

Option 1 Selected

In what seems like routine now, the four of you scour the ruins of the town for anything interesting while the robot watches the camp. When you all enter a local building you find signs of a small raider clan setting camp, and see numerous horrifying sights in the process. It is sheer luck that you have somehow made it here without being noticed or spotted, and you comb through the bandit’s camp looking for anything you could take. Laura and Salma turn green with disgust when they see half cooked human arms and legs, and other signs of cannibalism. You are not able to find anyone still alive, so you leave, only to run into the returning raiders.

Your party and the raiders stare at each other momentarily before guns are drawn and the shooting begins. You are not quick enough to get your gun drawn before the raiders bring theirs out and you and the party dive back into the building for cover. Your armor takes another hit in the process. Doctor Meadows lays down covering fire from the door with his submachine gun, keeping the raiders back. You head to the second story of the building to see the situation better while Salma covers the back. Laura follows you upstairs. (Agility Challenge Failed)

The bandits have surrounded you and there seem to be around fifty or sixty of them still alive after a few shots are taken, leaving you trapped. They have a number of guns and munitions, and the ones watching occasionally take potshots at the building to watch you all scurry for cover. As night falls, you watch them take captives that they had seized from wherever they had been, and butcher them for the meal. You have to turn away as the feasting begins. The bandits have you trapped in the building and you take turns watching for a sneak attack, and guns fire once or twice, keeping the night very restless for you and the others.

You are surrounded by bandits in a building in Broxton, GA

1. Salma suggests that the party surprises the bandits with a quick attack at dawn, using guns to drive them into cover while you run for the camp and make a quick escape. 1 Day (Agility Challenge; very high risk)

2. Laura suggests that you attempt to negotiate with or trick the bandits, claiming that chances are they aren’t very bright. Worst case, you could always try another option if talks fail. 1 Day (Charisma Challenge; low risk)

3. Gary suggests that you and Salma take shots from the roof to pick off the bandits one by one. This would likely take some time, and constantly expose you to enemy fire, but it would be easier and safe than taking them all on in an actual fight. 2 Days (Perception Challenge; moderate risk)

4. Surrender, maybe you could escape later, if there is a later.

5. Hold out and do nothing. You have enough non-human food here for a few days, maybe you can outlast them to wait for a better opportunity to escape. 4 Days
