:lol: It doesn't take a survey to show how bad Americans are in their own language. It gets worse in the small towns in the bible belt. Sadly, here in Oklahoma they seemed more focused on sports than education as many high school students can't even find their own continent on the map. Ironically, I've yet to see anyone actually get the 100% on the "Are you smarter than a 5th Grader" show. Aside from the fact that many of the contestants are college graduates, I don't think any of them have gotten all of the questions correct. Thank time that I finished school before the "No Child Left Behind" act was fully implemented.

Aside from the miscellaneous comments, Afforess, are you planning on releasing a new optimized set of your modmods for 2.8 or are you going to wait until the next version of RoM is released?
 
While that'd normally wouldn't be a problem, I must warn you I'm not going to tolerate his...unique way of socializing with people. Not after he started going after the military. Last straw, that.

You know they screen contestants before hand so that they always get the dumbest ones, right? Sure, there are a lot of dumb people, but no more than average. You just need to accept the fact that 50% have an IQ equal to or less than 100. As Einstien said, "Only two things are infinite, the Universe, and Human Stupidity, and I'm not sure about the first one."

New Beta this weekend. After that, If there are no bugs, I will release the next version. I'm not going to wait. 2.9 is a long ways off.

I don't regret actions I feel are correct ones, whatever the consequences.

Regardless, you are correct. I should endeavor to stay on topic whenever possible. Your modmods have my thanks...they take an extremely good mod and refine it to an even superior level of awesomeness. I'm awaiting your speedup modmod, at that, since I've already run into agonizingly slow city screen transitions. The long times between turns have never bothered me, but taking 5 seconds to get into a city? No thanks.

Thanks for that lesson! In german we write every noun capitalized, as well as every name and so on. So, I would love to do that in english, too. No idea why english language is so decayed. I think it got the best of me.

Yeah but I have to fight Nazi's cause they want to steal my possibility to stay hedonistic and wanted to put me in a concentration camp instead to break me and get mindwashed (omg just thinking of Orwells "1984"-torture of Mr. Smith).
And then I wouldn't be able to watch shows like "who's smarter than a 5th grader?" anymore! I think I am too americanized anyway.


Back on the topic: I am playing the 1.51 beta of your ModMods, Afforess
(early buildings+some of Aarandas religions),
getting frequent CTDs but usually a reload helps.
I am looking forward on the new beta and have to thank you for your excellent work, once again. I am very impressed of your understanding of computer language (logic) as well as your highly skilled part-time dyslexia.^^

Btw just to clarify: I don't want soldiers to die, nowhere. I just don't want to backup soldiers giving in to dubious political goals by providing their services to that, neither thanking them for doing so.
I know it's a small line where to stop, especially as a medic for example.
In my home country I refused the draft and did social services instead. I can't understand why people would do it voluntarily but that's just my 2 cents.

If there was a draft in the US today, all their wars abroad would have ended by now, that's for sure!

There's no denying that I fail at grammar. Back in elementary school, I never scored better than a 75% on a spelling test. If I need good grammer, Word will green squiggly line it.

I'm not sure I agree with your definition of "dubious goals", since you are one of those NWO believers, but I agree, I want no soldiers to ever die either.

He-he. I think it's interesting that a feeling for good grammar seems to be as intuitive as a sense for logic.
I, for example, was always very good in grammar and literature but hated this borig algebra stuff.
Later, when I was thinking of getting into programming/editing Civ for my purposes I was annoyed of that "cold" logic, so I decided to stay a simple tester. Nevertheless, I have great respect for people enjoying and mastering that!

Not entirely true, as I am a NWO agnostic. There is no proof yet that really assures me all that has been suggested about NWO is true but there are lots and lots of points that keep me questioning and keeping that theory in mind. I know, as history thaught me, that there is a lot beneath the surface the normal people aren't told of, especially if there are billions on stake.
I think it's very important to stay independent, always.
Nevertheless gatherings of the very rich and powerful, like the Bilderberg conference exist, (this year in Athens) aren't reported by mass media and it has been sponsored by the CIA in the first years (wikileaks is a source for that by the way).
That doesn't necessarily mean they are "the NWO" that conspiracists even want them to be. But they don't just eat snacks there, that's for sure, right?

Oh, okay. I thought that you believed in all the NWO stuff. I do believe that there is a bliderberg group, but I have yet to see any definitive proof showing me that they are up to nefarious schemes. As of now, it sounds a little too Dr. Evil-esque.
 
First, for DRJ - Afforess's modmods is correct. s' is for plural possessive.

Staying away from politics in the modmods thread... I like derailing threads as much as (probably more than) the next guy, but this thread is long enough without being derailed by a political discussion.

Ah, then his objection must have been incorrect in the first place because the full text was cut off in the screenshot, eh? It probably went something like "Afforess's Modmod's ____", where the word(s) in the blank were related to the Modmod... hence the possessive.
