After 2 month playtime cant start game

Hi all,

I'm having the following problem. I played Civ 5 regularly during the last 2 months. Got home from work today, start up steam, choose Civ 5 directx 11 and .... nothing happens
Tried updating graphic drivers, directx, still nothing

Read up on similar issues though they all refer to trouble after installing the game, not after 2 month playtime

Would appreciate any help

Did you try launching the game in DX9 mode? Also go into Steam's folder in Program Files and (make sure Steam is not running) delete Clientregistry.blob and then start Steam (it will redownload the file).
