I still CTD quite abit (track laying, usually double-tracking) but not as much, so that's very good.

But... I can beat the computer on any setting, scenario or anything, simply because the computer can't play.

When I first start, I can't connect a train to my starting depot. Not too big a hassle as I can modify the track and viola new stop. But, the computer can't do this so no stops for him.

Also, the computer likes to run 3-4 cars of each resource and they NEVER load. If I try to run 2 (on a 12 resource) they never load, only 1 works. The only double loading (or more) that I can do is from cities.

Anyone have any suggestions/fixes/help so the computer can actually play, he's griping abit that I'm beating him so bad.

I found the solution at a few other boards.

Seems you have to turn anti-aliasing down (mine was 4x, but fixed at off instead of 2x like they suggested) and then everything works fine.

Now it actually is a little more challenging with computer players that play :p

I have no clue.

Update: You have to change your anti-aliasing EACH time you load the game. It's not too high or too low it seems. When it's off, you need to turn it on and the trains will run correctly.

Hi all - first-time poster, just installed/patched Railroads! My 4-year-old son and I love just building stuff in Train Table mode, and this is where the problem lies:

in Train Table mode, the trains don't make any profit. Before I patched it, things were working fine. Now, they load up, deposit their goods, the little tinkle of cash is there, but the train still shows 0 profit. They definitely made money beforehand.

Any ideas?

This might be intentional, as in train table mode your finances are unlimited, so there is no purpose for the trains to make money.

I can see that you would still want to see which of your trains are most profitable, but if the developers purposely made the switch to 'no money anywhere' in train table mode then maybe they didn't stop to think people would want to track profit per train.

I can see what you mean, clut - it doesn't have any effect on progress, towns still grow so the game mechanics are still working (or so my wife tells me - I've hardly been able to get a go myself :)). Just odd - I went through the patch change log, and there was no mention of it.
