AG4 - OCC Conquest (regent)

I met him, wang of korea. Didn't mentiond it explicitly, but wrote i sold him mysticism. He's behind france.
Was the last achivemant of our fellow scout before he fell to an barb ambush .

CarlosMM's turnlog:

" turns 1 to 17, short report (full one lost due to misclick when boss walked into room without knocking :)
iznik is nicked. we get a SGL from Construction - rush Hanging Gardens. Another Otto city (capital) razed, accept peace for 120 Gold and a slave.
France attacked, town near incense razed, Paris razed

Lyon for peace - abandoned.
going for Korea now.

18: moving towards Korea. Should have waited with peace with France and bagged the 2 settlers :(
19: more moving
20: moves
21: attack Pyongyang and raze it.
22: moves towards Korea
23: Seoul is expensive, costing us 2 Horses and an Impi - but it is gone. :)
24: nothing much
25: I'll quit with this offer on the table (which I'd take):

I hunted down barbs wherever possible to get money.

we SHOULD continue the roading project to get our units into action quickly.

A settler just left Edrine - we can grab that, then attack the town and be rid of the Ottos. 4 horses are at the borderss, more can come there rather fast
"

AG4 almost won

IHT: We have the peace treaties to consider, so 4 more turns of peace vs Ottomans and 12 more vs France. So I decide to bully Korea a bit more.

IT: Zimbabwe: horse->horse. Korea wants to talk

Turn 1: (250 BC) Elite horse kills spear and Wonsan is razed. Vet and elite horse kill a spear and redline an other one vet impi does the rest and Pusan is razed.

IT: Korean archer attacks. Impi kills him.

Turn 2 (230 BC) Two vet and an eltie horse attack Cheju. The elite is killed, but Cheju is razed.

Turn 3 (210 BC) Troop movement.

Turn 4 (190 BC) I declare war on the Ottomans and immediately capture the settler under a spear. A vet horse kills a spear in Edrine:

Two vet horses only redline two spears in the Korean capital and are killed.

Turn 5 (170 BC) Troop movement

Turn 6 (150 BC) Two elite horses kill spears in Nampo'o and the city is razed. Korea is OCC as well.

IT: Code of Laws comes in. We are Medieval.

Turn 7 (130 BC) We are close to the last Korean city.

Turn 8 (110 BC) Two Korean spears and an archer defend the last city. But we have three horses and two impi:

And I'm very sorry, but I'm NOT going to wait 4 turns for the deal with France to end. I declare war.

Three horses are needed to kill the spear on Marseille, which was built a turn ago. Three horses are needed for Orleans as well:

Then all I had to do was press <end-turn>:

Here's the save for the HoF:
Pre-victory save

Thank you all for a fun and fast game. First win in the AG-series :hammer:

LMFAO :D

Is that the fastest ever SG played to a succesful completion? :p Must be close. :D

Terrifically fun game...OCC Conquests aren'y meant to be that easy, are they? :)

@Arathorn: I don't mind, but that open game took close to a week (EDIT: a bit more than 4 days) and this one 2 days. Funny thing is that they ended at the same year! You are right that we took more turns per person, speeding things up.

EDIT: I agree it's apples and oranges

Very different animals, you're definitely right. Sorry. I didn't mean to sound competitive, just making a comment (and an errant one at that! Whoops!).

You're also right about 4 days -- I'd remembered faster, as the first few turns went fast and furious. We were almost done in 2 and would've been if I'd've played the last 15 turns. 2 pages, though, which was shorter than this one. Heck, many SGs don't even have one turn played in 2 pages!

Lots of fun to read and kudos to all participants in this one. Very well done.

BTW, OCCC (One City Challenge Conquest) is MUCH harder if you don't get a true pangea. Especially if you have to move your one city to make a port city....

I was surprised to see Aggie opened up AG6, so I was wondering: didn't he say he would open after this one ends?

So I had a look, and oops, it's done?!

Looks like the upload server is broken so I can't see any pictures. I'll read this over later. :goodjob:

Great :) Thanks for everyone who where in it and especcialy to Aggie for creating this one! Happy to have participated in this SG, even when i played only once ;)

Was hell of fun :satan:
