I'm 22 years old and Civilization 2 was the first Civ game I've ever played. It must have been 1996 when I started...

I've been a hardcore player of the Civilization series ever since.

Started playing civ2 around 1998 or so. and bought civ3 when it came out. Easily became addicted. VERY much looking forward to civ4 and many sleepless nights....

I'm 25 years old and i started playing the Civilization Series 13 years ago when I bought Civilization 1. I remember listening to Nirvana's Nevermind Album on repeat while playing Civ1 for hours and hours.

There was an Avalon Hills (I think) board game that was called Civilization that came out years before Sid's game. I believe Sid's game was partly inspired by it but Sid's game was not officially an attempt to adapt it to the computer. In the last 3 or 4 years, a board game came out that was based on Sid's computer game. Incidently, there was also a computer adaptation of the original board game but the computer version is called Ancient Civilizations.

I'm simply amazed by how many people got to be paid surfing this site... what kind of job you guys have???
Btw, i'm 22 and started with Civ1 with my younger brother. Man, did we build lots and lots of militias... anyway, almost never played Civ2, but a lot of CTP2 (with mods), and some Civ3 with Rhye's Mod. And to me, Civ4 look like it's going to be best so far.

One third of a century. Been playing civ since a navy buddy showed me Civ 1 in 92. We played the Romans and stayed up all night taking the world a city at a time. Then went to Denny's as the sun came up. Wish I had the time and stamina to do that with cIV.

I'm 18 and I started playing Civ II as a 10 year old, back in 1998. It took me awhile to grasp the concept of the game. But I've been hooked since I first played it and I remember looking forward to the release of Civ III 4 years ago. I can't wait for Civ IV.

Ah he's just a young whipper snapper. I'm 48 and I've been playing Civ since the first one. I can't remember how I was introduced to it though, my memory isn't what it used to be.

Looking forward to the next version, it's always been my favourite game.
