Some questions about autoproducing settlers. I create small wonders that autoproduce settlers. A civ can built one in africa, one in america and one in asia. But if a civ built the small wonder in the caribbean, it would built another in south america and north america or the AI consider these as the same continent?
The problem is that the ai just wont build them in europe. Not that they won't build them.
You see if a autoproducing wonder produced settlers they would be shipped off. So for instance you could make a small wonder called say dutch east india company and make it require. resource called europe in the city radius. So it could only be built in europe This wonder would produce settlers then the dutch could ship them off. You could also make great wonders that only one civ can build makeing it so taht which ever civ built this wonder would have more settlers produced so they could gain a advantage in settling the new world. So if the settlers are produced in europe automatically they will be shipped off. The problem is that the ai just wont build them in europe. Not that they won't build them.
I followed you perfectly... till there.
Sorry I was a bit tipsy at the time. You see the A.I won't produce settlers in europe. And as we all know that's where settlers came from So if you set them to autoproduce and make the small wonder exclusive to europe the A.I will ship off the settlers to diverse locations instead of just one continent.
Thanks cubsfan6506, I have understood. But are you sure that the AI sent the settlers overseas? Some others (Virote) says that the AI could send only one settler to another continent.
I'm totally in love with this mod. But I have two questions. In any Civ III game, can you play beyond the end date, and if not, how do you mod it longer?
Great great work Imperator. I can see you spent alot of time and effort in it and the mod shows that![]()
Thanks, Zygmunt! As for your questions: in any CIV III game is possible play beyond the end date; this is only the point for state the game's victory.
To alter the end date you can open the .BIQ with the editor and in the General Settings modify the end date.
The only limit is that the Tech Tree in often based on the game's lenght so if you want to play beyond the end date you can have no Technology to discover yet. In the other hand, (in my experience) one want to play beyond the end date because not all the Techs are discovered!![]()
Also, I did tons of work on the map, civ name changes (corrections) and AI. Would you like to see what I did? I can upload it if you want, I'm sure 90% of it you will enjoyAll it is is the biq file my man.
I would just concentrate on the tech tree. Units are enough for now, IMHO.
EDIT AGAIN
The map changes I did were due to most cities not being able to support their populations ie too much forests or hills etc.
