Agreed to not to spy on me again, caught twice later

I really hate grammer nazis and have terrible puncuation/grammer myself... But this one always gets in my craw.

The topic is moot not mute.

Joey: Rach, you gotta find out if he's in the same place you are. Otherwise, it's just a moo point.
Rachel: A moo point?
Joey: Yeah. It's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.

- Friends.

Couldn't resist... moot or not

That could actually be it...the AI stops spying for a number of turns, say like 10 or 20. I completely didn't think about all diplomatic actions being limited by time.

I have no problem with all of the concepts around the "new" espionage. I have a major problem (and always have with Civ) with the computer cheating. It is way too easy to steal technology, you never get more than a handful of spies, when in late game you could have dozens of cities they can steal from, and if you are the technology leader you can't steal back. So your only real recourse is war, which will destroy you diplomatically because of the insane warmonger penalty that never goes away!

They should at least give the option to build spies again so we have a legitimate chance of stopping every civ from stealing technology with ease.

I have no problems with them lying. They can do whatever they are pleased but if they promised not to spy and get caught again you should be able to declare them war without suffering any negative modifers towards other civilization!

Last game I caught the same civ spying on me 3 times...Declared war and got denounced by everyone! I made sure to declare war on the same screen as the one that appears when you click ''a spy have stolen the secrets of...'' which brings you the leader conversation...

or if they backstab you. I'd love this.

Your spies get caught because you don't move them after you steal a technology. Move your spies to other cities so that your spies won't become kias.

It happens. I was friends with Cathy. She sends a GP to convert my holy city. I ask her to stop that and she agrees. I buy an inquisitor and convert it back. Not more than 5 turns later she does it again.

B1tch.
