Hi,
Since the last patch I had the opinion that AI cheats. And I am not referring to high money or happiness but on strategic resources. More nukes that the total amount of uranium, (more than triple) more oil and aluminium units but I was thinking is the policies and any bonuses.
However on the current game, Washington has no iron at the start. I can see him on the map too.
He declares war on me, and almost on every other civ.
When Iron comes on the map, I can see all the resources (pangea) since I have explored the whole map.
20 turns later, he find a city next to me, with Iron deposit (2). No mine on it, because hadn't managed to expand the borders.
When he finds the city, same turn (no iron mine built yet) 6 swordsmen appeared. Just from thin air since I had all his cities in clear view (no fog).
Checking all other civs, none had approached an iron yet and still their armies were consisting of barbarians. So none made an agreement with him.
What the heck? We said to make AI harder in tactics, give huge money & happiness and production bonuses. But this? Game is going to be put on hold, until such clear cheating is being sorted. It's a shame.
Heading back to CIV 4 I think.
Also found few bugs with where the position of units are (AI) and where the units actually are (invisible or some times shows only the unit icon). Which makes AI archers shooting 3-4 hex away against other AI. But is not for this post. Is submitted to Firaxis.
