ai wont found new cities on all land map

hi there,

im working on the mod song of the moon,

and i use an all land map,

but for some reason, the ai wont found new cities exept the capital, now at first when i tested,
the ai did found cities in a regulary fashion, but i think something i changed in the xml,
made it stop.

i know the amount of food from terrain affect is decision, but i dont thing that all since i raised back the amounts, and still no luck.

anyone have any idea?

help is much appreciated.
 
Look at the basics: Do you prevent the AI from building a settler in some way? Did you add a condition that they cannot be met? Did you make the Settler too expensive or require certain resources? I would go to a vanilla version and copy and paste the settler from there into your XML and see what happens?
 
hi,

wel i figured it out,

turns out the ai always need a defense unit to acompany the settler, i blocked a unit of such sort by bonus preqeq , so i removed and it returned to found cities.

but now i have another prob - im using an all land map, it converts water plots to 2 types of land terrain - but the ai wont move the settler across it, even when i gave it allterrainmove .
