Since Yatusan is at war with France and we're planning to counterstrike I wonder about captured cities and their aimag (or elder). Who takes control of captured city, the Warlord, Chieftain or the aimag/elder of another region/city?

I thought we'd add captured cities to already established provinces, so for example the French city near NotA could go the the Elder (Aimag) of NotA.

That's good, I think along similar lines :).

I definately don't think the Warlord should take control of captured cities...

Quite frankly while we're at war I want to focus my attention on fighting that war, I don't want to worry about managing a city.

I think however the Governors/Elders (I believe Aimag is actually the term for the overall province) should discuss among themselves ahead of time how they want to divy out cities, though I think it should be fairly straight forward at this point.

Actually - handling this is already in the rules!

Aimag Amendment said:
The Governors will decide amongst each other which Aimag control all new and/or captured/flipped cities.

 I feel so stupid now

eh don't feel stupid, easy to miss fine points in an amendment like that one. Anyway I think that the best way to do this is to give Rheims to the Governor of Coppertown, and the rest of the French territory to the Governor of NoneOfTheAbove. This is definitely not an even division, however it makes the most sense for the long term development of our civilization. NOTA doesn't have much room to expand it's Aimag without running into someone else's, but Riversight Coppertown and Equus Aurum all have room to their north for expansion.

I won't complain about the division, don't worry. It's fun though that by switching to Aimag's we really get "provinces" that develop themselves over time.
