Algy v AVN return

well, I have a poor memory so it's good to get my otb opponents out of their book fairly early, before I get into time trouble. And.... yes..... it's fun to see their expression and work out whether they are being dismissive or nervous - two conditions greatly to be wished on an opponent :D

I understand you still play over the board chess.
Are you a member of a chess club ?
I was member of a chess club till 6 years ago.

I got back into club play nearly two years ago after a slow decline four years earlier. I have mostly played in the second team (we got promotion to the first division) for Newcastle (-under-Lyme that is) chess Club, but had a few first team games as well this season. I've had a good season but I'm thinking of posting a couple of setbacks I had, because they are interesting.

Posting a couple of your games can be interesting. I will certainly replay them.
And IMO your learn more from your defeats than from your victories.
