Thanks for that. Yes I thought you were ahead early on. your bishops had good diagonals and most of your pieces were available to join in. I was very pleased with my cd and Nc4 idea but I don't think it equalized, merely dented your attack. Then I thought it would be equal when I got my Q to g6, but I found that the exchanges on e5 would leave you dominating the centre and my king the more exposed.
The idea behind the manouevre of K to h3 was to get my knight into an aggressive square (if I could not hide my own king I thought it would be good to expose yours a bit). Knights are such wonderfully deceptive pieces. I liked the irony of being able to block the check by occupying a strong square.
I'm pretty sure that taking your rook off the f-file was suspect, but perhaps not fatal. e.g after 33.Nf5 you can play Re8 and trade back on e6, although it might be more complicated.
At the end I worried a bit about ...., Ke5 35. Ng4, Kd4 worth a try. You might get both those pawns, but I will have an extra piece; so I still have the advantage.
I enjoyed the game. a lot of tactics and positional considerations. plenty of errors and no doubt others will have seen more) but a good battle.
What do you think of my otb game so far? Have you seen what is coming?
I am going away from monday for about a week; so I won't offer you another game just now. Perhaps whe I get back if there are not other players clamouring to play us?
