if 22. ...ef then 23. Qg6
I nearly played Nh5 thinking more about the entertainment value of having a knight bobbing about all over the place than the exigencies of the moment.
I've bitten the bullet and posted a game on a new thread. What do you think?
You nearly played Nh5. IMO that''s an illegal move so I suppose you mean Nh4 (on 22th or 23rd move) ? I'm a little bit confused here. So it's difficult to comment.
I have had a quick look at your game in the new thread. I think it's an interesting experiment. Anyway it's my intention to replay the game tonight or otherwise tomorrow night. I will try to find the surprise move and I will post my comments. If there will be other reactions I don't know. AFAIK it's the first time someone starts a thread with one of his OTB games

of course, I meant 22. Nh4 - brain out of gear when writing that. It would have been very dangerous at move 23; good thing I didn't play it then!
There was a thread a long time ago. It's on page 4 now, called "sample games".

25. Bd3
That was how I saw it. The relative merit of this line is that it is unclear (at least to me). And besides, I can still put my knight on the h-file if I want
