All About LAN Parties.

I have gone to a couple of LAN parties. I am going to one tommorow (Our SUPERBOWL LAN party) So I was wondering who here as been to a LAN party? What games do you play? How Long do you Play? Are you any good? Do you use Wireless or LAN? What is your beverage/Junk Food of choice while at the parties? Etc.

When I voted in the poll i said I didnt know. But I now know its a multiplayer game played at a centra location and not on the interweb.

Big LAN parties are a waste of time IMO. Occaisionally I'll get together with a few friends and beat each other up in something like AOE3, or hop online in BF2. That's where the fun really is.

Yup, everyone goes to somebodies ouse and then they play multiplayer games.

We used to have 12-16 person Halo LAN parties. We'd usually get some people with a project playing on the garage door too

I go on summer vacations to a LAN party with 8 of my friends. What we play? UT orig., WC3 TFT, BF2, AoE2, CnCGenerals, CSS.

We play for 3 days, only on the 2nd night we go to sleep for 3 hours then we continue. After that, nobody wants to play games for a week. And we bring our own hardware.

I havent been to one, but i reckon it'd be awesome. especially since everyone at my school needs their own laptop computer. I probably would've had one, if it wasnt for the fact that i only have 3 working ports on my router...

I did a lot of LANs with my friends back when we were still in high school. Usually around 7 people and it was a blast. Large LAN parties, where you don't know more than half of the people, were a lot less interesting.
