Thanks :)

By the way, I am the only one who thinks some Firaxis maps are unplayable because of their resources placement? Seriously, look for example at Amazon and the number of luxury resources...

Nope.
Those screenshots confirm what maps i will never play.

I think i've at least loaded up almost of them, but there are a lot i really have no interest in suffering through as the only way i'd enjoy them is at a lower difficulty than normal.

Thank you very much for doing this. I had started doing that myself because I wanted to see what kind of world each would create but it got tedious.

I was excited initially to see Eastern US but when I checked it out, I found how huge it was (even though it said standard) - pretty much unplayable with so much space between everything, including resources.

Also, thanks for showing my favorite map - Small Continents. I play with Low Seas so that becomes a fascinating landmass.

No problem, glad you appreciate it. If you guys have any improvement suggestions just tell me.

I didn't think about that, so there's probably some production in the south as you can see on Amazon Plus. I'll add another screenshot soon.

 amazon XD.... (someone do a deity challenge with it...) talk about low production starts...
Bananas and sugars and not much else...

I dont see point of sending picture of suffle map as an example because it's random. Otherwise very nice

Which ones were shuffle maps (if that was what you meant)? I don't recall what were the maps in the new DLC but I don't think any of them are here. All of these maps, as far as I can tell, are random - which is the point of the map generator.

There is a map type called "Shuffle". It is an option to play with a random map between the main types (as in, the game will randomize between Pangaea, Continents and Archipelago (and also Fractal?), but will not choose any of the other special maps). It will also randomize sea level and world age. The screenshot that the OP provided is showing an Archipelago as the Shuffle exemple.

Regarding the topic, nice work OP! Is there a way for someone to take screenshots like those but showing AI placement? The City-State placement makes a lot of difference in some maps. Also I laughed with the dual continent Frontier, when the very damn description says that it will be a single continent

There are two options for Frontier. The destription says Pangaea, but the default landmass choice is actually random between continents or pangaea. You can also select either the continents option or pangaea option in the advanced options.

I didn't know shuffle was THAT random, so I guess I'll take that out. :D

Yeah it's possible to show AI placement. I revealed the map with the Ingame Editor. There's an option to explore the map without triggering the civs and one to reveal the AI.

Underneath the jungle is a plains tile which if you build a farm on several adjacent to rivers and leave tre rest for TPs you be in good shape

Still, 95% of terrain as flat jungle (good luck with removing it from every single tile!) and one banana/sugar per damn billions of hexes is something ridiculous

To be honest, almost every Firaxis "special" map seems to be either completely unplayable or at least strange because of the crazy resource placement :p
