It's the natural symbol of sarcasm in my posts. If I think I'm being sorta funny, which I generally fail at :p I put a :D because :) aren't happy enough and :lol: is too much of the 'in your face' funny type.

you could be evil and launch gaint fulscale nuclear war in the future
and heros could rise and make a city in honor of the single bloodiest act in world history by making the city of Moscow or you could just do the nukes:D

I play games like this all the time, although I have only done 9 civs on a Standard sized map. As much as I enjoy the SP aspect of the game, I find I have a lot more fun 'role-playing' with cIV. (and, yes, I get a lot of rolled eyes, too)

I only miss some mods that add realism so roleplaying would be easier and more interesting, but there's Dom Pedro's Age of Man so probably this problem will come to an end.
