Bug: If I play a single player custom game in Warlords 2.0.0 that start in Classical or later, I always wind up founding Judaism. Even in Modern Era, always Judaism.

Expected behavior: Religion given to human player is random, not always Judaism.

This is a game mechanic thinggy - actually the religion stuff is not entirely random: The game checks whether it should found each religion each turn (it starts a few turns into the game actually) - i.e. it looks at whether the required tech is known to atleast one player and whether the religion has not yet been founded. Then it randomly decides which civilization that knows the required tech gets the holy city. But for the first tie (i.e. two or more players can found the religion on the same turn) the human player always wins. Now at start with later eras the game starts the religion list with judaism so that this is always the first tie and the human player always receives that. This could certainly be changed by exchanging the religion tags in the .xml but then you would just define another specific religion as always human...

That makes sense, unfortunately. I think it should be a check box, at least in the custom gamer config to randomize religion assignment. You insight is good and that seems to make sense on the logical side of things.

This could be solved by the devs simply by not making the human player always win the tie...

That is right - but would lead to a lot of frustration in the early game religion rush, and of course a lot of late era games in which the human player does not get any religion... Not that that would be necessarily bad, but different ;)

Later age custom games -> human ALWAYS get a religion -> boring

Please make it so that later age games distribute religions randomly. If there are 10 Civs, three of them won't get a religion. I as the human should face the same risk of not getting any as any of the other nine AI Civs.

Or better still, give a Civ who's already got a religion a small chance of getting another. In Ancient Age games, Isabella can end up with three religions, and there should be a random chance of that happening even in later age custom games.
