Hi!
I'm usually playing Alexander (Standard map size / 7-8 players), and I noticed it's always around the same bunch of ai civs playing:
Practically always: Egypt, Rome, Siam and Songhai
Often: Iroquois, England, China and India

This even happens when I turn off start bias in the options. Is there a way to balance this so that the other civs appear with equal probabilities? I know I can manually change all the civs in the startup options, but I prefer random games with random civs.

It's probably just a coincidence, but it feels like I always end up near Russia and Germany. Often Japan. Never near Rome, Egypt, or China.

i used to be with russia a lot and the past couple games i have been near arabia but other than that its pretty random

Start bias tends to place people of similar environments near each other. If you play as the same civ a lot, you might end up spawning near the same people.

I don't think disabling start bias is going to do anything. It doesn't bias you toward being near a another particular civilization, just a particular terrain type for certain civs. And if I'm not mistaken, I don't think Greece even has a start bias.

Do you have any of the DLC civs? It could be that because you're always playing with the same standard selection of civs, it just feels like you're always near certain civs over and over.

I olso get Siam all the time and I hate that hypocrite allways set my AI manual because i hate this guy so much I dont care if i am a peacefull civ player if i am against siam I rape their churches and burn their wifes

Anyways I usally get Siam, alexander, Rome, egypt, washington
