Well there is an opinion that gangsta rap and various other things have lead to an explosion of gun use in black communities in the UK I couldn't say that it's because of the AMerican influence for sure, but it is certainly an idea that is very prevalent and widespread in the media.

There is an opinion that violent media and video games has caused an explosion in violent crime in general. But there is no evidence or statistics that suggests it is true.

Gangs and gang cultures has existed in America since its birth. God knows how long it has existed in the UK and the world in general.

While, I agree that gagster rap has mostly negative influences, I doubt its the true source of demand for guns in the UK. I doubt most UK criminals would go through the trouble and expenses of buying a black-market handgun because they saw Americans use them on TV or in movie. They get them for the intended use of a black-market gun, which is crime.

Either way "gangster" (And I'm not talking about the everyday suburbanite "gangster" rap kids) is generally considered a subculture that results from poverty and crime in Black and Latino communities.

And thus if American gangster style violence appeals to Britain's minorities then that probably has more to do with their own poverty stricken surroundings. Just like in the US. Not really something you can blame on Americans.

If the reason you prefer to live in England is because of mortality from violent crime, then I humbly submit that you need therapy as your paranoia is excessive.

OK whatever, I think the reason I prefer to live in England is because I was born here and I kinda like it. But if you want to make gross generalisations you go ahead and I totally agree Bugfatty300. That's why I apologised and withdrew the accusation, I do think that there may be some link to say black youth in England glamourising guns but I wouldn't say it wouldn't of happened anyway. And yes you can blame Englands speed cameras for your misery, but then our traffic accident fatalities are going down so, mah being as I don't drive I can live with that
