Amra & CIV Gold New Civ Library

That reminds me. If my memory serves me correctly Wyz told me that you were the one who skinned the Menzies LH for Gold in the first place correct? If so is there any chance you could do a LH mesh for me?
Yeah, I did that LH a while back for Wyz and would be happy to help you with a LH after I help Wyz with the list he sent to me for CIV Gold 4.0. So, in other words, it could be a little while... At least til the end of April.

I can PM you when I've finished up the last of the LHs for CIV Gold if you still need help.

Yea I know you feel that Wyz is a real slave driver :p :lol: ( Im kidding Wyz) Yea the leaderhead is no rush. I would like it done by the 25th of this month. But if need be I can make do with just 1 leader till you have time to play with it again for me. Ohh and just so I dont waste your time later all Im basically looking for is Bismarks helmet off and moustache gone. The he really will look like Robert Menzies. You would not need to skin him Im pretty good on that front.

I'm sorry but I think I misunderstood your earlier request. I haven't learned how to edit 3D models yet such as you need. I can only remove items that are removable in the NIF Viewer or add items that other people have created. So far, I'm limited to just that and reskinning the models in PSP.

I notice that in the preview here, the Byzantines have the Dromon as their UU, but in CivGold their unique unit is some kind of light cavalry. Why is that? Will the Byzantines have the Dromon as their UU in CivGold 4.0?

Originally, I created the Byzantium civ with two UU's for my modpack. When I released it as a standalone civ I only included 1 UU and chose the Dromon because that is what they had in Civ3.

CIV Gold added them based on my modpack (with the 2 UU's) and had to chose between the two UU's and chose the Tagmata. I'm not sure why but maybe because the UU looked better than my original Dromon model (a simple reskin of the original galley). I can ask Wyz_sub10 if he has any plans to change it to the Dromon for 4.0 but it is his decision to make.

I can go either way. You're bang-on though - I just thought the Tagmata looked really cool. :) But seeing as it was your design, what do you think is the better choice? I certainly have no issue with switching it to Dromon.

I can try working on a Bismark sans-helmet.

For some models, though, the helmet replaces the head. Remove the helmet, and you're left with a big-gaping hole in the skull. :)

I'll give it a quick try to see how it goes.

Sorry. :(

The helmet replaces the head, as suspected. You can't delete the helmet without removing the top of his head entirely.

Maybe I could delete the spike at the top...or maybe it's possible to delete most of the helmet and replace it with Churchill's bowler...?

BTW - Saw the screenshots for the musketman. :goodjob: Don't worry if it's not perfect. We can tweak it at some future point, if need be.

Yea that was my thought. I did think that it could be an idea to put a bowler hat on him. As far as I know he was not known to wear a bowler hat but hey Ill take what I can get. :D

I am Assuming that when I am Creating plug and play civs for CIV GOLD 4.0 that I am doing the same civ's as amra's civs... Amra you need not to worry about making your civ's plug and play as I already got ya covered on this. perhaps I should also get you to use the repository that Impaler had already mentioned.
It has all the CIV GOLD 3.0 civ's completely plug and playable already. WYZ...

I am going to start making these plug and play as of tonight... Amra if you want them they will be in the repository... With your CCCP dll they will already work on your modpack. beware though I suggest you revert the dll to the MXMLL 3.0 dll.. no bugs... there is also a assets pack in the repository to pull the original civ's out and now you can also insert those too as Plug and playable civ's.. this assets pack is under the workshop/CIV GOLD folder

You've been busy purplexus! Great job getting all those civs done. :goodjob: That had to be a very time intensive project.

I've actually removed the CCCP from my modpack due to a few bugs and will be testing/releasing a new version soon. The new dll I've compiled for my modpack does not include the Plug-n-play feature (for now) so I'm afraid the PNP civs won't work with my modpack's new version until I can get it implemented again.

After I'm done fixing my modpack, I plan on getting back to this library project. Hopefully soon.

It is on my list but as you can tell from the above post, I've had some problems with my modpack that have taken up a lot of time. I know you asked for Polynesia a while ago and I never got to it until today. I will test it tonight and post it.

Sorry for the delays on adding to this library. On the bright side, it sounds as if purplexus has been VERY busy with modular plug and play versions so anyone interested in a new civ may want to check out his posts on the CIV Gold forum to see what civs are available and where they can be downloaded from.

Yeah, I agree that he would look better with a uniform. That's something I'll have to add to my future to do list.

I added Polynesia to the Oceania section. I have a lot more that I want to get to but I need to finish up my modpack first. So, when I am done with that I will get back to this library.
 
After completing some improved code for modular loading I'll be taking another stab at some of the bugs in CCCP and updating it with the latest Modular loading.

Perplexus continues to tear through content modularizing and building up the Civilization library on the CCCP and work has begun on a new forum specifically oriented to the creation and collecting of modules of all types. I think Amra should consider moving his efforts their once its up and running.

I am afraid that I would have to disagree. The Plug and play forum is only for Plug and play civ's... although he could put those civ's on the wish list... which in my mind they already are. Perhaps it's time to launch the forum? I was going to wait for Civ gold to launch first.
