An essay on Religion, Royalty, Sex, and Mystery.

This is a true story that occured several years ago, and infact was covered in a Reader's Digest a while back. It occured at a pretty well respected college (I want to say an Ivy League school maybe, not sure)? A teacher of a writing class told the class to right an essay/story including four major themes: Religion, Royalty, Sex and Mystery.

Well, as you can imagine, the professor had a lot of essays to read. He decided to read the essay/story that he thought best represented the four themes he had chosen to his class. The winner?

"Oh my God," said the Queen. "I'm pregnant. Who did it?"

As you can see, religion, royalty, sex and mystery are all represented here, and it was chosen as the winner.

And yes, I am almost 100% positive this is a true story, like I said, it was in a Reader's Digest about 3-4 years ago.

Any thoughts? Is college really this easy?

lol, this reminds me of a story I heard about a philosopy exam, where the professor set a super hard exam, and basically asked "Why?" - the top graded student answered "why not".

I would never have the balls to pull of something like that, and I doubt someone else did - its probably an urban myth.

Reminds me of a story that occured at a math and science center. A physics teacher put a chair in front of his class and told the students to prove it doesn't exist. Everyone started writing down formula's and numbers, but one student immediately went up to the teacher and turned his paper in. It simply said "what chair?" The physics teacher ended up giving hom an A.

Hah, good reference. Yeah, I'll admit, I'm not entirely sure it's true, but I know it was in a reader's Digest at some point.

Royalty had to be included not monarchy. It is a much more flexible term. today Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson are considered royalty in addition to HRH Prince Charlie. The fact that I used queen was merely to make sure that the professor was clued into ythe fact that I had fulfilled all the requiriements.
