Just started a new map, this map is really interesting, and helps people to learn the function of how to make full use of Conquistadors.

Really interesting map for me.

Thank you for the educational experience. My first attempt was flooded off the map at roughly turn 10. My second try found Alex nearby to the north so I forward settled him and he forward settled me so we were border to border. Then 3 Barb camps arrived on the scene with some curiously advanced weaponry. Nonetheless I managed to build a second city and develop all available city resources. Turn 35 Alex DOW'd me and all 3 of the barb camps chose to simultaneously inundate with everything they had. Turn 40 brought my sad little empire to it's conclusion.
Then I looked at the game settings ... I play Emperor on standard speed. Your save is Deity, online speed. I guess I'll practice a bit before I try that again. I never had a chance to learn about Conquistadors but I did find out you don't bring just a knife to a gunfight.

A screenshot of my opening 60 turns. T61 conquistador will be online.
(However I haven't saved enough money, maybe I shall find some money from pillaging. Also I don't have enough General Point. )

BTW although religious settlement is available when I choose my pantheon, this map is specifically interesting that another option is better. What is it?

I see 19 downloads but, only one of them have played it?

Is this online speed?
What are all the settings?
Long ago, they told me if you want people to play the game it is a good idea to post all the settings and a screenshot of the starting location.
I had to scroll away from your picture that you posted because it wasn't in spoiler tags.
I don't like to play a game with knowledge of Map, AI Civs, City States... etc etc.

I downloaded the Hungary map and that was educational as in it taught me not to download these maps. They are not very educational because you get little help. At best they are as educational as just playing another game yourself.
For example the map is giving him 42 science with over half coming from one city but Nothing about this is explained, nothing on how to play is explained, just “look I can get conquistadors at T61” that is not very educational to me.
But give the man 100 gold coins for getting muskets at T61.
However on downloading and playing it certainly seems fun, you just do not get the barb issues as bad on oinline

Everyone has his own "playstyle". So I just post a map and decide not to speak anything that may violate some "playstyles" here, unless someone asks me. Before asking a question you shall be clear of what you're asking about, that's why I submit a map.

Feel free to ask questions based on your own experience. For example, "how to deal with barbs on this map?" is a good question, while "How to deal with barbarians in a general way?" is a complex and useless question since everyone plays his own playstyle on different maps.

Indeed , lily post quite some interresting ones but as yet to master the art of posting large pictures in spoiler tags :)
(cheap mind control possibly at work here)

I should mention that I did find it enlighting and I support Lily's initiative , as he is very good at snowballing and now I got an example to dissect :)
I understand that explanation would be very nice, but we are by no means entitled to ask for it. And retro-engineering is quite educational too

so thanks lily :) just use spoiler tags (please ,pretty please ?)

Sure, I found the map a bit OP and online feels easier than normal speed with it. It is a snowballer indeed and Iron + wonder + loads of goody huts is fun. and yes, it is not often I get a level 4 Skirmisher in a position of owning so the map is fun.
Unsure about bothering with conquistadors on it
The maps I really want to see good people play is average maps, not op ones. These are where you find things start to unravel with the best laid plans.
I played about 40 turns and realised online is quite different with how things are built so yes, I restarted so its not a very valid map but not save scummed, this could be a lot better.
Spoiler :

Tried it out but i rarely play deity but used to online pace. I hadn't really precise plans just reacting to AI and see how it goes.

So the dude attacked me early and took Cordoba 2 times but managed to recapture each time. Niter is in a odd place and forgot that we need it to upgrade Conquistadors :)(thought for few turns that we didnt need it like before). Though it's not really needed with proper management you can defeat this guy pretty soon in the game.

Since it was a kind of Niter/Conquistadors race i focused on science mixed with military but in normal circumstances i would have gone all in military and he would be dead by now. Gold is scarce i didn't focus early like usual and i completely ignored religion because i suck a bit in that domain.

Kinda cool how the city placements differ from a game to another.
