Anarres versus ERIKK PBEM

ERIKK - we should use the same system if possible, maybe with different coloured units.

That way we can have battle maps with both our forces. What do you think?

Yeah, I agree. What is your opinion on how to create good maps?

We should use something like Photoshop (which I prefer). If you can't get that or don't want to use the 30-day free trial we can use PaintshopPro instead.

We can create a filter to fade the maps a bit, then add on units like you have done above.

Shouldn't be too hard. Once one of us has put our own units on we should pass the map to the other person to put theirs on as well.

Great idea. I will download the trail ASAP and start learning the program, experimenting! Do you have the most recent map with you? If so, plz, post it over here!

At work, no anything apart from internet...

What do you think of this?

In 310 AD the Ottomans are finally destoyed. It took a while because they spawned in the jungles at the other side of the map. The Indians were taken out 5 turns ago.

The American economy is back in business after beeing surpassed by the Greeks for hundreds of years. Our productivity, annual income, population and GNP is higher again. The American government is aiming for a higher manufactured goods number now. The Greeks produce more than (industrious) us... Workers are improving tiles at a very high tempo. But for now we are happy with less products as our productivity is higher and the Greeks must be producing a little more...., maybe just waste :)

The Greeks have started a civilization offensive :) as they are flooding the world with their culture. Libraries (or temples) are erected in almost every far-away Greek city. One American city is in culture flip-danger. The main American interest in still in population growth, not in culture. Aquaducts are beeing constructed in the few cities that need them :satan: All other production activities are secret :p

Meanwhile in our northwestern sector there is massive Greek activity going on. North of Istanbul the Greeks are placing outpost-cities on hills and are digging in. It is said that soldiers of our infantry regiments in the Instanbul-regio are constantly making fun of these so called "Mountain-Greeks" ;) Nonetheless, American reinforcements are sent to the northwestern sector.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
As the present now will later be past
For the times they are a-changing

It's almost as though you can hear the weapons being sharpened :satan:

Of course my forces are only there as Peacekeepers, I noticed a build up of American forces and (naturally) assumed they were preparing for invasion.

It should be noted that the Greek nation is a peaceful nation. Since we took under our wing the evil-looking Zulu and the potty-mouth Romans, they have been happily integrated in to Greek culture.

I suspect that America is jealous of our position as world cultural leaders, and to counter the expected ruthless invasion of our lands we are on a high state of alert

How many roads must a pikeman walk down before he can hear people cry?

The answer, my friend, is blowin in the wind, the answer is blowin in the wind.

Anarres has quite a good number of units. Americans have been weakened through the wars?

Hmmm...., unfortunally that "Greek warrioir" -incident (170 years long) doesn't make the Greeks seem too peacefull to the Americans ;)

And all those Greek units near our cities in the northwest and northeast are a bit intimidating to us. Would you like to remove them (as you asked us 2000 years ago in a same situation (only the other way around), when you told us you did not liked that)?

Or would you like my knights to be positioned the same way near Paris?

Go way from my window
Leave at your own chosen speed
You're not the one I want babe
You're not the one I need
You say youre looking for someone
Who will open each and every door
Who will gather flowers constantly
And be there each and every time you call
Someone who will die for you and mooooooooore
Well it aint me babe
No no no
It aint me babe
It aint me you're looking for......babe

The 'incident' was a warrior fortified in your territory for 3 turns. He was origianlly in French territory and must have fallen asleep at his post. As soon as you pointed it out I disbanded him.

IIRC, your troops were on my border. I asked for all your troops to move at least 1 square away from my borders as it was causing tensions to rise. This didn't seem unreasonable as your territory was over 20 squares away (so they didn't have a good reason to be there, including defence).

I will happily move all of my troops at least 1 square away from your territory if you do the same. We both have troops near each others borders, I am happy to place a 1-tile DMZ around our territories for the duration of our treaty.

Of course, where our territories touch this is not possible, but we can at least vacate unclaimied land.

Agreed! :)

Indian territory
Hmm. Not only sleeping at his post but unaware of whose lands he was in!! Oh well, he has been liquidated. :p
