Ancient Forest Graphics

I love playing the elves. Builder is really my thing.

But I truly hate the ancient forest graphic. I guess at some point it filled its use but the graphic has really outlived its usefullnes. It looks like a bunch of rancid popsicles. (no offence to anyone who designed it)

Graphic, like the name ancient forest refers to, would be awesome. Ancien forest sounds to me like something with dark green shades, heavy barked, spruce and pine trees with lichen and mushroom fungus. The current ancient forests looks like plastic.

Anyone got any other graphics for them or are willing to make new ones? Would be much appriciated.

Check the art Thread (stickied) for the Fanghorn Graphics by seZereth. Many like them (big, dark)

I too hate the ancient forests (I personelly think its color shouldbe used for new forests though). I typically use the Fangorn style ancient forests that seZereth made a while ago: here

Eh.. how exactly do you import this to ffh? I took a look at some Blender instructions for civ4 but seems kinda complicated. Any easier way of doing it?

Try this download, it includes the file structure, so simply extract this zip into your FfH II mod folder and the ancient forest should be replaced by this.
But dont complain if you cant see improvements and stuff. I already stated, that i am not an expert in getting roadcuts and improvement cuts to work.

Okay, so I just found SeZereth's old Ancient Forest graphics, and I like them a lot, mainly for not disappearing under improvements. Except, after I download them and change the xml to make them work, they spill over heavily into neighboring tiles. Was that an issue with the original forest, and can it be fixed?

(If Kael or another team member reads this, the real problem is complete disappearance under Farms and Towns; the current Ancient Forests look wonderful on Plantations, for example, and it would be great if they looked that way on all improvements.)
