I just got an idea for a NES. It's an ancient times theme.

Setting: The Persian Wars have ended. Greece and Persia are at eachothers throats. Also, the city of Rome has been founded by the Latins, and the Etruscans eye it suspiciously.

Pick a nation (an ancient one please) and enjoy!

Greece (me)

Statistics (1-100 scale)

Economy: 23 (we are ancient here!)
Army: 34 (just fought a war with Persia)
Navy: 57
Discontent: 17 (just defeated Persia)
Infrastructure: 77 (very cultural)
Education: 55 (higher than most!)

P.S. i play by Apolyton Rules

What? Nobody want's to play?:(I guess i'll slouch off to Apolyton and see if they like it.

Unless, of course, someone (eventually) joins up.

try posting a map, and then we'll see what happens ;)

Well, it's the world map...I suppose I can post one when I find it.

found one

P.S. Pick a historical Civ, just to keep things from getting confusing. Also, you start where that civ historically was

(this does not show my territory)

This one shows my territory

Sorry, new at CFC NES. Much simpler @Apolyton.

Another thing...ignore the red dots

Gaul (me (too) (in the northwest))

Statistics:

Economy: 18
Army: 41 (madmen and berserks)
Navy: 12
Discontent: 12
Infrastructure: 55 (rather tribal but good culture))
Education: 35 (Do Druids count?)

Rome

Economy: 30 (Rome, in the middle of the great middle peninsul, it obviouslly is a great tradeing center)
Army: 45 (not sure abotu the exact datem but by this time the legions shoudl be somwhere in thier developmentakl structure
Navy: 15
Discontent: 17
Infrastructure: 60
Education: 45

amirsan, that's just wrong (the sig link thing).

Nylan, you might want to post the rules for the game here somewhere.

i followed your link for "appolyton rules" and cant find any rules for an nes there.

Roddy, he is right, I dont even think most people here in CFC like these types of games. It is one of the original NESs and thats how they play in Apolyton. Dont you remember the thread about the two original neses? Thats exactly where I got my judgement on my statement. Though I could be wrong. ;)

Anyways. I assume that the rules are very simple, almost none. Its realy just that you make your stats realistic for each aspect one to one hundred, and as you write stories on what you do and such and such on how you do it, then the moderator updates the stats and edits the map.

Its very uncomplicated and more of a sit back game where all you do is write stories and long diplo, no orders. :)

i think roddy meant that you said all taht as a commercial... always trying to get people to join ur forums yet u never join any here.

When you say Rome, do you mean the etruscans, or the Latins (romans)...or both?

Pretty much...except for orders. Post them at bottom of screen.
Couldn't find the Apolyton rules myself, so it's basically what amirsan said. Tell who your messages are directed towards, and put (secret) at top of message if you want to "conspire". Players are asked to ignore any secret messages unless directed at themselves. Also, with battles, tell how much of your army attacked, from where, etc. I will calculate the battles.

P.S. please be reasonable in this game.

Updated map (does not include Rome because I am unsure of which rome he ment)

considering I want to be able to compete terratorialy with the rest fo you, I'll tkawe the Romano-Etruscan combo please :yeah:

No Problem;)

As soon as we get one or two more players, we can begin.

NOTE:

After we begin, you may still join in.

Hopefully, this will make an interesting game
