Animal Empire (Modular)

I can't get it to work! I've put it into the "mods" folder but it doesn't show up on the list of civilizations. I've looked at all kinds of different ways of making it work but all they do is conflict with each other and now I'm all confused. Could someone please help?

Look at my signature were it says (maps/civs), then look for the Vampire Civ and look, i believe at post # 10, it explains how to add modular civs there.

It still doesn't work... :_( I tried what you said but the .ini file didn't show up.

So then I tried your Copy_Civ1 file and put the Animal_Empire into the "custom civilizations" folder". Still doesn't work!!!!

*cries*

Huh, works perfect for me, i just tried it, and all you have to do in the Copy Civ is put it in the Custom Civ folder, making sure not to rename anything.

Yeah. That's about the sum of it. And Copy Civ goes into the Mods folder right?

Correct. All you have to do is put the civ in the custom civ folder go to advanced and pick copy_civ and then pick animal empire.

That's the problem. I go to advanced, select Copy Civ, click OK, the game restarts but then when I go to Play Game, or any of the other civilization selections Animal Empire doesn't show up.

Try putting in a different one of my civs and see if they show up, if not, your doing something wrong.

Tried that too. I don't really see what I could be doing wrong. This is exactly what I did. I put the Animal Empire folder into;

Program Files/2K Games/Fraxis/Civilization 4 Gold/Beyond the Sword/Mods/Copy Civ/Assets (where the Copy Civ .ini is modular loading set to 1)/Modules/Custom Civilizations

I then turned my game on went to Advanced, then Load a Mod, selected Copy Civ, and then clicked OK. The game restarts but no matter where I look the Animal Empire cannot be found in the game.

Did I do anything wrong in there? Are there any patches I need to have, or other mods?

:wallbash:

Yep. It's there. Still doesn't show up when I load the mod into the game.

Goes in here right? Program Files/2K Games/Fraxis/Civilization 4 Gold/Beyond the Sword/Mods

There was something interesting I noticed; When I checked "About This Build" it listed the mod as Beyond the Sword/Mods/Copy_Civ2/
Does that mean it isn't getting to the other files and folders in Copy_Civ2?

It goes in the same area as stated above, AfterWorld, Road to War, etc.
With the file i provided you should not have to do anything else, but put it in that area.;)

.... Okay

And all I have to do is boot the game up and load the mod? Then it should show up.

Yes. I did that beforehand to see if that would fix the problem, but to no avail. And the ways to fix this in "How to install new civs" don't work. AARRRGGGHHHH!!! It always happens to me!!!

Well with the Copy Civ i gave you, you dont have to do anything, but start a custom scenario.
