I'm afraid it doesn't work well. I just tested it inside the game and medieval and industrial era have transparency problems, causing animation to look like a mess. I'm not sure (maybe other leaderhead makers will help) but I think it's like with units - Civ3 uses last 32 colors of the palette for transparency, so they can't be used in such animation. Ancient and Modern era flics caused no problems.

The second problem is puerly aesthethic so you can tell me to shut up on this one ;) There were suggestions about this shiningness... well the skin looks fine now, but clothing in medieval (well, industrial too) era shines like plastic... it looks weird and I guess is a matter of just one texture and/or material properties...

As for the pallette issue, you are halfway right. It does use parts of the pallette for transparency, but only the last 2 or 3, not 32 :D

I havent tested in game, as I am in school, but will try it out when I get home.

GIDustin, any help her to fix these transparency issues would be great.

Embryodead, I noticed the plastic clothing too. In all future leaderheads that will be fixed, and I may fix and repost this one. For now it will just have to stay as is 'till I get some more time.

Thanks to all who have commented so far.

So which ones have the problems? I could try to fix it when i get home.

GIDustin

Hrmm It appears as though your PCXs all have the same problem

GIDustin

Dustin you are a stud. PM me or e-mail me and give me a brief lesson on fixing these and I will fix the next ones on my own.
Thanks again buddy.

Do you have animation shop 3 and PSP7? If not, I wont be able to explain it to you, but if so, then those are the only tools you need, and I can write you up a tutorial.

GIDustin

ok, i posted it there as well. I altered it a bit as well.

I'm prolly being dense, but exactly where is the latest and greatest versions of this posted? Has everything been fixed?

rd, see the post at the top to know where all the latest files are. It is still a bit messy to get them all, but I think it is worth the effort.
