Anno Domini for Civ V

the proportion of Cartimandua look odd, her small arms and shoulders do not seem to fit with the big bossom.

the helmet of Aegis looks like attached, like an image.

the background of Cartimandua is awesome!

the Hittite guy is perfect, but he seems to stand in front of Babylon rather than Hattusa ?

i don't understand the background of Pericles.
I think Pericles might look better if you can see his famous iconic helmet in full.

apart from this you are impressing me with each new model.

but what about making at least one of your female leader more of the "leg-type" , you know elfish grace-like .. everybody has his own preferences ..

Thanks for the comments, Rod. I have amended the leaderheads you've mentioned, plus Darius of Persia. The previews are below; I hope you all like them - but please, no more tweaking suggestions for now, as it takes away from the time I need to actually make the mod itself. I'm hoping to release this on Monday 12th December; things are going okay - the last three days have gone slower than I would have liked, but there's been a lot of little things to learn - such as the right settings with the right program to get the icons in the game without them appearing to be in black squares (a lot of trial and error, but it all came good in the end ;)).

The changed leaderheads are as follows:
Agis: changed the helmet to a more traditional Spartan one - he looks ready to rumble now!
Pericles: imported the background from the Civ 4 Temple of Artemis wonder movie. A slight modification to the helmet so that it comes down a little bit, but still doesn't cover his face.
Suppiluliuma: a more dramatic, Hittite background found on the internet!
Cartimandua: the comments Rod made were rectified by a change of pose (IMHO).
Darius: I never really liked the old leaderhead I made; so I brought in my old Civ III one and used the Persian background from Civ V, but with slight modifications.

I know you said no more changes, but I think Pericles was better with the background before this one. If you can't change it before release, that's fine, just hoping you might have the old one lying around somewhere.

I do still have that one - and personally prefer it. I'll tell you what - I'll put the old one in this version of the mod and keep the amended version in case that turns out to be the one people generally prefer ;).

is there any chance putting not only one leader for each civ?
will there be any traits like in vannilia?
if u make something like this please change the greek becaus it has nothing to do with history(the greek city states fought each other all the time) and put something to make greece a cultured nation but with strong defensove units(greeks holded their lands and is one of the three older civs that survived till today)
for the greeks i recomend alexander(with expansion war traits) or themistocles(with sea war traits) or pericles(with culture traits) or leonidas(with land troops great morale advantages like faster healing and bonus at fighting) lastly u can put minoas(bonuses at connecting cities and bonuse from sea tiles and sea warfare, they didnt had any land units just naval).
there are a lot more but thats the variety

this is my ideas for the civ i know the most.
i have never heard of ur mod but as far i have read it seams very good because it has got a lot ethnic diversity.

I'm not entirely certain what you're asking for here, but I am definately going ahead with different Greek states - so there's Athens, Macedon and Sparta all in the mod.

It's been a slow, but sure process so far. Things are really coming into place in the mod - but I know it's not going to be ready for Monday as I'd originally planned. Amongst the reasons are RL issues (house selling - my house suddenly got some enquiries this week, so I've had people looking round etc - though no-one's bought it!) and also a change in what I expected the scope of the mod to be. It's becoming quite a busy mod, with plenty of new techs and buildings etc in it. There's even some new civs I've not told you about yet. I'd envisage it being available some time in January and will update you when I know when in January it's likely to be.

Hey Rob, you are giving me a reason to invest in Civ V. Civ IV was a major bust - I missed Ano Domini and the game just sucked. I'm glad to see you're thinking of getting busy again and putting your genius to work. It sounds great so far! And Hittites? Egads man, you are speaking my language now.

I thought I'd give you a little update. The mod is going very well; though I've hit upon a quandry. I've been limiting the mod so that it can be played by all without the need to have downloaded any DLC - but it's really just stretching things a little more than I'd like.

I am aiming to release this on or around Tuesday 10th January. What I'm thinking is to actually create the mod requiring the extra DLC and then look to do a version without it afterwards. I've put in a different "version" of the three ancient wonders, but really would like to utilise the following DLCs for various "bits": Mongol, Babylon, Korea, Inca/Spain and Denmark. So, pretty much all of them!!

So my choice is to create a version first for those who have all the DLC (and a version that I would actually like to play!!) In this, I might as well use the DLC wonders as well. Once this is out, I'll create "Anno Domini lite," which will involve stripping out all the DLC, putting in placeholders in some cases and in others, removing the item altogether.

I know it won't be popular with some people, but I really do feel that as I have bought the DLC myself, I should be able to create and play games that use it. Sorry if that offends anyone, that wasn't the intention.

Oh my god Rob... This mod looks amazing!!! I am loving all your leaderheads, and I am so excited to download this mod! What program do you use to make your leaderheads? I've always wanted to try and make one as cool as yours!

Thank-you!! I use Poser 5 to make the leaderheads; it's a program I've been using since about 2003. It was used to make Civ III units as well - it's a shame that isn't the case for Civ V, as we'd have a little unit factory going on here!

Once again, thank-you for your kind remarks :).

Are you going to post this to the ModBrowser? If possible, please put a spare file of the mod on this page because my Civ5 has no access to the ModBrowser and I really want to play this mod when it comes out.

why at the leaderhead of illyria u have put a greek ship and a greek building?
I just thought it was a decent background - although, as you have been kind enough to point out, inaccurate. Hopefully, it will not detract too much from the enjoyment of the mod.

I was thinking (rightly or wrongly) of uploading the mod to my AtomicGamer account. It's a very big mod .
