Annoying Civ 6 0xc000007b ERROR

Hello,

I've downloaded civ 6, though I have reported a problem, the 0xc000007b error window popped up. At first, I thought it was just a simple error which can be easily be fixed, I looked at some Tech Forums, watched youtube video's on how to fix it. Though once I do any of these solutions they never worked, I start to become desperate, I kept digging and digging only to find that certain solutions don't work, or I have already done it. Right now I've skimmed through many forums, and watched many videos, but nothing worked. I have found out something strange though, somehow my bad laptop miraculously is able to run Civ 6, poorly though. I've also tried everything this user did on this thread:

https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/error-0xc000007b-game-wont-launch-at-all.536480/

I've yet to find a solution to this problem for 8 MONTHS, I've even talked to some of my tech friends about a solution, none of them found one though. I've tried everything from using the vcredits applications to checking if some DLL files were corrupt, downloading DirectX, and more things that I have done but did absolutely nothing to fix the problem. It would be a huge help if someone were to find the solution to this because I've been working nonstop just to find a solution to this.

Thank you for your help.

Jarz.

What kind of errors do you see in the Event Viewer (right click start button and select it from the list)? Try Custom views -> Administrative events first. Try to launch the game first, though, so it's easier to find the right errors by date and time stamps.

Also, have you tried installing/repairing older versions of said VC++ redistributables (like 2010) and .NET framework (3.5) before the latest versions? Probably yes, but I'm just checking.

If all else fails and you have the space for it, the game runs on Linux, too.

I opened the Event viewer and went to administrative events, opened the game, gained the error, and looked in event viewer, this is what I observed:

-A new error pops up in event viewer(Timestamp match the current time)
-Source: Service Control Manager
-Event id: 7000
-in closer inspection, it displays a message:
The SegurazoIC service failed to start due to the following error:
The SegurazoIC application cannot be run in Win32 mode.

The problem may be from the SegurazoIC.exe from the Segurazo folder, which I might have to delete

Seems like the best option to try. It's a security software, right (though could be malware)? So you might want to install something else instead. Maybe run an online virus scan to make sure. Malwarebytes' anti malware free trial is pretty thorough and simple to use. Windows defender has been known to cause issues with CivVI so something else is preferable. As a Finn I'm inclined to suggest F-Secure, but it's kind of pricey (though i get the total version including VPN for 15€ a year). AVG's basic version is free and it's fine enough, if you don't go clicking those "free porn now" links in your spam folder.
edit: typo

I've deleted Segurazo and installed Malwarebytes. After going through some cleaning, deleting, and scanning, I ran Civ VI again, and would you know it, the error popped up again.
I went to the Event viewer and try to find out what's wrong, though once I run Civ VI with and refreshed event viewer, no error is registered on to event viewer.

I'm running out of ideas. You've reinstalled or repaired all of the VC++ redistributables (and you have both x86 and x64 versions), .NET framework and DirectX? So pretty much everything in this picture:

If so, I don't really know what to do, except the Linux option. You might try installing an older version of DX, just in case (it won't overwrite the newer files). https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Do you have around 60GB free space, so you could install some simple to use Linux (maybe Linux Lite, it's really as easy to use as Windows these days) and Steam + the game. If you're dividing an existing hard drive partition to several new ones, take backups of important files, because things can go wrong (unlikely, but better safe than sorry). You can choose which operating system to load when you turn on the computer.
