Another shadow game challenge

The rules: you must use FfH 2 0.30f with media pack, and BtS 3.13, and get CtDs always while trying to start a game, like what I get.
The winner will be rewarded in some way.

I remember reading somewhere on these forums (no idea where) that if you have one of the earlier patched installed and then installed 3.13 it would look like it installed ok but would actually fail to install correctly.

Have you tried un/reinstalling BtS and then 3.13?

Not yet, but I don't have any earlier versions of BtS installed anytime.

Of course it might be that my disc contains a newer version, actually it's quite logical.

So if my disc has like 3.0x which fails the install what can I do?

Was .25 working for you, or did you stick with .23?

I decided to stick to 0.23 until BtS versions would be more ready and stable, as every new version I download will take another day.

Ahhh, this is the reason why you are not creating your Map Lore.... what a pity

Well, if you are NOT actually patched to 3.13 as suggested might be the case, it shouldn't allow you to play normal BtS multiplayer. Maybe check the lobby and see if it will allow you into a game with fully patched people? Haven't done this so I am not sure what results you should expect.

Course, you could always do a complete un-install of BtS and FfH, then start from scratch. Be best if you save all of your files for that to work though (if you don't, I'd suggest starting Especially 3.13. Get it from the Civ site, not in game, then you can save it for future re-installs, or addicting your friends a tad quicker)

I have all the files on my computer, but if the version which comes on my disc is the breaking one, reinstall might not help. I've downloaded 3.13 from here.

I decided to wait for Shadow so there won't be need to convert it, and then I had to study the AoI map well, of course without WB to avoid spoiling the fun... so the "canon" map takes some time.
