Any guess on what will happen to Erdo-Turkey now that it downed a russian plane?

Pilot's body has been brought to Moscow.

^Erdo being a paragon of virtue is the right being to challenge others

I think this will escalate further, cause i don't see Erdo resigning; he is too filled with the idea he is the savior of the turkish state or whatever, to realise he is the obvious trigger for nastier things to come there.

(oh, and BBC being as crap as ever)

Allegations of oil trade are outrageous, ISIS was just sending humanitarian convoys to Turkey.

Any chance Erdogan and Putin could be long-lost brothers or something? Similarities are scary.

Erdogan challenging Putin for his claims Turkey is trading with IS:

Too late: Putin now accuses Turkey of shooting down their plane 'to protect IS oil'. Because, you know, shooting down a single plane will do that, obviously...

And here's some entertainment from our esteemed Greek member, whose political-economic views are always hilarious:

Very to the point, I'm sure...

Our esteemed member has missed the somewhat obvious fact that Putin is the only one doing the escalating. Erdogan seems genuinely embarassed by the incident.

"oh, and BBC being as crap as ever" speaks for itself.

'Humanitarian convoys' is an euphemism for refugees, obviously. I've never heard of 'humanitarian bombings' though. Is that an euphemism for 'bombing anything that's not controlled by Assad'?

Yes, it does speak for itself, if one is as clueless as to how BBC is as you? Maybe at least try to faintly read something about an issue prior to just knee-jerk reacting to what another posts :pat:

BBC has been a mouthpiece of the english govs for a long while, and it is not about tory or labour either (they were the same during Blair's era).

No, it's parodying the "humanitarian convoys" Russia sent to Ukraine.
It's made even more obvious by pointing how Erdogan and Putin are similar.

Well they are similar in that sense if you consider ISIS and Ukranian separatists similar.

Akka, may I ask about your thoughts about the Russian revolutions in 1905 and 1917?

I've noticed your support to the rebel notions in both Ukraine and Syria, and I would cautiously assume that you also would be sympathizing to any power rising up against Putin in Russia today.

So it makes me curious about whether it's just a rebellious spirit of yours, or there are some more complex criteria... If so, what are they?

I hardly am supporting the rebels in Ukraine.

As for Syria, I wasn't aware someone needed to have some kind of "rebellious spirit" to prefer people fighting against a bloodthirsty tyrant than to have said tyrant drown the rebellion in blood.

And I don't really see what the Russian revolts and revolutions have to do with this...

Sorry, my fault, I was insufficiently clear. I meant the ones who ousted Yanukovich.

That is understandable...

...well, there were some things for a preset, and then the Bloody Sunday as a trigger, and also many things next...

Criteria is simple actually - support anything which is portrayed as pro-Western, and bash anything which is perceived as pro-Russian.

Which magically makes Syrian rebels good and Ukrainian rebels evil :)

Uniting factor with Akka's stances there is his persistent anti-russian sentiment nomatter what the issue (in any thread on Russia he posts the same). But i suppose you pulled a Socrates there ;)
