You can check a direct page, like http://apolyton.net/forumdisplay.php/305-Sports-Forum , to see if it's acting without hitting the hacker page. But yes, I haven't seen anything intrusion-related either.
 
I wonder why it is taking so long to bring the site back up. Surely they had a backup??
 
The owners are almost never online in my experience. And the downtimes lately have all been quite long.
 
I think maybe there is something happening, maybe progress? :dunno:

The site no longer gives the "404 error" that it was giving before. Also that "hacked" screen no longer appears when using backdoors... Now the page just gives the "cannot find webpage" message.

So maybe the owners have taken the site down to work on it?:please:
 
I noticed the same thing this morning and drew the same conclusion. Martin is pretty aggressive about attending to basics like keeping the site running, so I imagine it will be back up today, though running smoothly may take longer. It may actually be fortunate that the last crash happened so recently, as I bet that means recent backup...

My concern is that perhaps the hosting provider took down the site when they discovered the hack.
 
I sent Martin an email through the profile page as suggested, but he hasn't replied.
 
I am sitting in the Alpha Centauri folder at 'poly in another tab right now. There's a post from the 25th displaying. I can't get any of the threads I've tried to open, and I can't go up to the root directory, but the three subforums open, and so does the Other Games level. Haven't tested anything else but CTP2, but it opened.

I am getting the same results. Looks like the Phoenix is rising...slowly.
 
Yes I got in as well. And yes I can't get any of the threads, I tried, to open. But definitely progress.
 
Yes...it is an improvement, but no progress today apparently. Has anyone heard anything back from the emails to Martin or Robert?
