Any other downloads for Civ1?

Last night I created a category for Civ1 in the downloads database, to make the section complete, even though we only have a few downloads for Civ1.

If you know some other downloads (perhaps maps?) for civ1 out there, feel free to add them to the database.

PS: Just don't add the original Civ1 download. for that we would need permission from Take2/Firaxis.

(2) will our very small-sized civDOS save games (~70kB for one savegame at max.) now be save/kept at CFC forums?

(3) will you allow
to upload
*.sve and *.map extensions (lately)
without using *.zip files (that may contain viruses or else) in next future?

civ1 forum and the GOTM subforums are annoying.

is it possible to merge civ1 forum
and GOTM subforum together

( the sticky announcement threads would fit better on top of the forum ) ?

Hello Good People,

As far as I know a key is required for Terraform which is issued by the authored upon request and the program was a beta. The author may still be developing this project. Someone might want to contact the author of Terraform to get a non-key version or even find out if such a version will be available in the future. I suppose if I stepped forward to suggest it...

Btw, I would like to see some maps posted!

Yeah, this is really good for the civ1 community. Goldberg can re-birth his civ1savegames collection and we can all share maps etc easily

Instead of wairting, you could have PMed me to get faster reply. You know I don't visit this forum that often.

What's the file extension for those CivDOS saved games? .sav? If it's not on the Easy Upload list, I will add it. For .map, it's best to use zip format.

For those saved games, you can use the new Easy Upload system to upload. I don't delete the saved games in there. For forum attachments, I sometimes purge the saved games every 3 or 4 months (usually 700+ saved games).

civDOS needs BOTH extensions for a complete savegame.

i don't like *.zip s
packed by unknown people (viruses etc.)

why are the correct savegame extensions downloadable, uploadable
possible
at civ2 civ3 civ4
but not civ1 (DOS) ?

I don't delete the saved games in there.

it doesn't matter WHO or WHAT (forum crashes, forum host changes etc.)
did delete ALL our old savegame attachements at forum
but it DiD happen now TWO times!

if you would take a look at the LiNK in my SiGNATURE
you would see what did happen to my work!!!
