any way to diminish amount of lakes?

hello!

is there any way to diminish amount of lakes in generated maps? 9 of 10 times i play pangea. and amount of lakes in maps drives me just crazy. their formations are so bizarre and so many... maybe there are some ini files or something like that to change value of lake appearence in maps(remove at all even)? i would like keep my game unmodded, if that is possible. but lakes to me are at the point, that i`d agree to install mods.
