Any way to skip AI leader animations?

Haven't played Civ6 long, but the AI leader animation sequences are already getting to me, especially since each ends with a static image that has the choices on it

Is there a setting or mod to skip the animation part and just give me the final screen to click "Nice to meet you" and 'Goodbye' etc.??

That would be great. If you leave animations on, it's annoying to have to wait for the response boxes to show up. Yawn.

yes there in in the graphic options click advanced and scroll down to bottom select leader animations to OFF.

You can also just hit the ESC key and it cuts short the waffle.

Caution: In some cases ESC not only skips the non-relevant part, but also closes out of a screen you might have wanted to see.

Must admit I'm also surprised by the fact that you have to sit through 20 seconds of leader babbling every time a foreign civ addresses you. I usually use the ESC key but have had the problem than juncnunn descripes with missing out on options, so I think I'll also look into turning them off. It's a bit disappointing having to do that, though.

One more reason why I'll never understand people who care so much for animated leaders and cried about the damn backgrounds not being 3D or otherwise not being good enough. In THIS kind of game... But to each his own, someone actually enjoys it every single time, those crazies. But I still think that most of those who complain about leader screens not being pretty/colorful/animated/kawai enough, turn them off sooner rather than later anyway and those that don't smash the esc.

I never even saw Jadwiga in motion nor heard her voice.

Well to be fair in Civ V it was less annoying because the animation played at the same time as the options were available to you so you didn't have to pick between playing and animation. I liked the flavor of the Civ V animations but you're right, in Civ VI I watch each new leaders animations about once and hit esc forever afterwards

I also turned them off a long time ago. After watching them a couple of times, it just becomes tedious to sit through.

The wonder "movies" are slightly better since they show it in the context of your city, so it's a little different each time. But these days I ESC through those too.
