Anyone else "scared" by the Liberalism and Circumvate sound?

Yes, not horrifying, but certainly alarming and odd.

I don't mind that Liberalism sound as it's quite a generalised sort of sound, but I do wince at the horses squealing when they get wounded by a pikeman.

I woudn't say "scared" but the sound is a bit creepy and doesn't quite fit the positive nature of the events (when you're the one achieving them).

I agree the sound is a little creepy at first... but it has grown on me.

As for the good and bad... both the circumnavigation of the globe as well as liberalism have lead to good things as well as bad things. I could list some of those goods and bads, but I'd rather not... it would likely bore many and possibly annoy some.

It's the same sound you hear for Global Warming. That's probably why it's so scary, with the whole "uuh, the world's kind of falling apart here..." feel.

A good idea would be to replace it with the sound you hear when your government's been re-established after a revolution, or the one you get with WLTK day.
If somebody else gets it before you, you could play a Homer Simpson-style "d'oh".

Global warming? I've never come remotely close to that.

The sound is just not right. It is too ominous, as if someone circumnavigating the world has a serious detrimental effect.

I still totally get freaked out when one Civ declairs war on another... since it's the same sound for when they declair on you as it is when it's someone that doesn't even matter to you.

The "scary" sound that also occurs with global warming is when the AI circumnavigates et.al. It's scary because someone else did it. If you do it,other than global warming of course , then you get a fanfare sound.
