Wellspring
Chieftain
It seems to me that, at least with the release version of BNW, they have a lot of meta-advantaged.
Seeing as aggression is at an all time low, it seems that a lot of civs would rather be your friend than enemy. I've had a few games now where entire continents stay peaceful and friendly. DoF are in the bargain bin.
There are also three very cheap great people you can give away, in the form of Great Artists, Great Writers and Great Musicians, that don't require too much in terms of investments if you want to go the city state route.
Finally, a warmongering Sweden isn't impacted by the lack of early gold, since their unique units come in the middle eras, once trade routes and other sources of gold income have already been set up.
I haven't had time to test this myself, and honestly I'm still figuring out the first few turns in BNW, but I'd be interested to hear what the rest of you think.
(inb4 learning this has already been mentioned in some other thread)
