He tried to scan it and no go, but he called a CSM and the CSM is getting someone from receiving to enter it into the system. They both noticed that the date on the receiving shippment is for tomorrow, but they didn't have a clue as to why nor did it sound like they cared. So here is to hoping.

hmm well I dont really know anyone that works at walmart, what are the chances I could get a CSM to do this? :cool:
 
I'm in the Houston area and not to many of the store CSM's know how the gaming stuff works, and most stores will just put anything on the shelf. They have even messed up on several occasions around here and put movies out on sunday that are not supposed to out until tuesday. It can be an honest mistake, but sometimes I do wonder.

PS well I got it straightened out by being proactive and finding the exact problem - fixing it, calling back EB and having them run it again - o and upgraded to overnight so I should get it tomorrow.
Listen if you move please update your address to your bank and or credit card company or you might be wondering why it didnt get accepted and the game didnt come. LOL.

Checked my Ebgames order... It's in OPEN: ORDERED status... hasn't been SHIPPED yet... but, I'm on the East Coast USA.. there's hope the business hours follow West Coast time, and it will still be shipped tonight.

EDIT: I just called EB Games and the guy said my copy of cIV is being PACKAGED by the warehouse AS WE WERE SPEAKING... and that I will have it TOMORROW!!! :woohoo: :beer: :dance: :band: :woohoo:

I called Amazon customer service today... well i lie, i called them 3 times today... anyways, my order is still "not yet shipped". The lady i talked to said hmmm it shows that it usually ships within 2-3 days, so it will probably ship by the 27th... :nono: As i spat out my coffee i said, excuse me?? i preordered this weeks ago, and it has always said it will ship on the 24th, and be delivered on the 25th (i selected one day shipping). And she said "hmmm, yes that is what is says. Well i suppose there is a chance it will still ship today." :aargh: So i said, "well ok, so is it possible it will ship this evening? Since i paid for overnight shipping?" "She said yes there is a chance, overnight shipping orders do take priority and are processed quicker." Finally she said she would wave my shipping cost b/c it might not get here tomorrow. so yea... i dunno... maybe it will ship tonight, maybe not...

So i called my local ebgames and asked if they were still reserving the CE version and they said yes, so i went and put my $5 down since they said they will have it tomorrow around 2pm. So at worst i guess i'll loose $5 if amazon comes through.

If anyone else has any more info from amazon, please post, i'm sure all of us who ordered from amazon are dying to know what's going on.
 
Pre-Ordered 3 weeks ago from Amazon and decided not to pay for shipping. They estimate delivery on Nov. 4th. In other words, the folks in Amsterdam will be getting it before I do. I'm not really upset, though. I can just watch the trailer over and over again. . . .
 
If you live in USA and want to get a game on day of release, the last place you want to go is AMAZON! It takes them up to 3 days to ship something once they get it.

Best Buy usually gets PC games in stores on the thursday of release week.

Gamestop/EBgames usually gets new PC games the wendesday of release week, usually within a few hours of online ordering, sometimes before sometimes after.

Usually the quickest way to get a game is to order online from Gamestop/EB. Once I got a game in the morning before any of the brick and mortar stores opened.

As of 6:27 PM Eastern time my order was processing, but it's been processing since saturday. They usually put in the shipping information at 9 or 10 pm the day it ships so perhaps tonight at 10 or Tomorrow night at 10 we will know that it's been shipped.

My guess for getting it in Israel some time soon is order from Amazon (cus there isint a Israel version) and pay the like 20 bucks shipping to Israel :crazyeye:

or if you got a relitive in the states have it sent to them and then have them send it to you.
 
I called all the EBgames in the Phoenix area and they all say Wed. I went into gamespot and they said Wed. Fry's has an ad in the paper here that say's they will have it by 4PM Tues.

DAMN I CAN't WAIT! BUT I HAVE FINAL EXAM FOR SCHOOL!
I guess I will play Civ 4 8th Nov
