I checked the Steam sub-forum and did not find anything there.
Since the last update, I will have to launch Civ V G&K at least twice (usually with a reboot) in order for the game to launch a saved game.
When I click the shortcut, a brief flash of Steam Update will appear and it goes to the Select DX screen. I can select 9 or 10/11 and it will launch. I go to my last saved game and click it. It goes to the Washington screen and then stays at loading. I launch Task Manager and it is not responding. On the process screen the CivV process is 1-1.5 million or more. When I have checked int he past it is usually lower.
Previously, I tried shutting down and make sure no processes are running. And the game will get to the same point.
On a reboot, when I click the shortcut, the steam update will show up for a little longer and then disappear. When launching a saved game it works.
Is there a way to error check steam? I can get into it and have no issues.
There is nothing in event viewer or dxdiag.
