Hi everyone, so the question is there, anyone read any books or reading them now? I am reading a couple books, The Republic by Plato, A book on the history of the Democratic party called Poltics, and I just got a book a day ago called Aristole Poltics, though I have yet to start reading it.

I don't like reading Politic/Government books... I'm more into something that doesn't put me to sleep.

I'm reading right now

The Lone Drow by R.A. Salvatore (The Hunters Blade Trilogy Book II)
Eragon by Christopher Paolini (Inheritence Series)
Downfall by Jean Rabe (the Dhamon Sega)

All very good books.

Yeah, right now I'm reading Intermediate accounting, updated third edition ,by Spiceland, Steppe and Tomassini. I've seen more interesting books.......

Napoleon Bonaparte by Alan Schom

The Zen of Magic Squares, Circles and Stars by Clifford A. Pickover

Random quote

"Think of this magic cube as a hunk of precious cheese whose internal symmetries are produced by mathematician dairy farmer high on LSD. What other symmetries can you find?"

How To Talk To A Liberal (If You Must) by Ann Coulter.

For my opinions, see the link in my signature.

Hi!

I´ve just finished "day of the ants" by Bernard Werber and "Olaf Tryggvisson" by Lothar Baus. The former is a very interesting "crimi" written both in the view of the ants and our own view of the world and the latter is a book about the saga of the Norway Viking King Olaf Tryggvisson (969-1000 a.d). Both books i can suggests for everyone interested.

Recently started reading Democracy In America by Alexis Tocqueville.

Im still going through my pile of mysteries. Right now Im reading Ian Rankins The Falls.

I'm not reading anything besides required college stuff right now, but I recently read some of this 1980's book called The Last Two Million Years which has some really good articles on older civilizations I'm interested in, like the Khmer and Maya.

The last book I really "read" was Beyond Good And Evil by Friedrich Nietzsche, several months ago, maybe a year ago. I should start reading again instead of playing PC games!

Apart from various stuff on Japanese Shinto (well, Shukyo), I'm reading Eqbal Ahmad's Confronting Empire. And very good it is too.

Confronting Empire sounds interesting, what is it about? I get the feeling the author is an afghan that fought the soviets, but 'splain away

God, that man annoys me. For some reason, whenever there's punditry to be done on TV, there's Ian Rankin - no matter how far removed from literature the topic. So he's on programs about politics, gardening, science, etc. He must have a good agent...

Indian, I believe. Fiercely, secular. Dead, unfortunately.
