Applying Patches?

I just purchased a copy of Civ 4. It's awesome. I'm a little curious now about applying patches. Should I just go ahead and apply patch 1.74? Or should I apply the patches in order?

Hi Kilik,
I just downloaded the entire patch today after reinstalling Civ4 and it installed all of the patches in sequential order for me.
So to answer your question, yes, you can just download this patch.

Be aware that you may experience problems, but kalkas has posted how to resolve these :

"If your system lacks D3DX9_32.DLL then you have to install DirectX Software Development Kit. When updating Warlords to the new patch v1.74 Patch, then Civ 4 must also be updated to v2.13. Please look at the specifications for the Warlord patch 1.74 at the following link:
