Arab and Israeli civilizations

I mean, can you put them on the net without that other space-taking information found in a scenario?

What was our Special unit before? What is it now? I guess at least one of them is:
Merkava I/II/III, Lavi, Kfir, Arava, Matkal soldier or the Hetz. Was I right? :D

A lot of the guys in the OT know a lot about them.

I think the Arab and israeli civilizations should be revised,

I mean the game is about long term civilizations so the modernist approch (ie: adopting the 50's incarnations of the civilizations) just won't do.

Make the Israeli civilization into the ancient Hebronic one, and the Arab civilization to the muslim one of the middle ages (ie: each one at its zenith, Omayyad arabs, and Solomanic Jews).

What's the difference? It would still be a one-era civ. The hebrews existed only in the ancinet times. Modern Israel existed in the end of the industrious age and the modern age, so it's an era an a half, and therefore longer in civ-years.

Modern israel is a state not a civilization.

It may speak its own language but it is part of a greater western european civilization. With things such as classical music, the eurovision song contest, and generally speaking the very life styles of the people, one maybe not be able to tell the different between tel aviv and a western european mediteranian city if one hid the hebrew signs. Besides its only 50 years old.

Ancient (Solomanic) israel is was a civilization, by the very defintion of the word. That was the zenith of Hebrew culture, that was the time, when the greatest Hebrew wonder, the great temple of Jerusalem still stood (I think). So why not?

Modern Israeli and Modern Arab civilizations would be more suited to Civ 2 style scenario's.

Isreali culture is very different then european culture in a lot of ways. The Israeli has elements of every culture because people came here from all around the world. This creates a uniqe culture that's not like anywhere else.
Also, Israel has it's own history, it's own heroes and anything other civilizations have.,

PS
Solomon built the first temple. But his leadership wasn't very good - he made the people angry about the monarchs and when he died his kingdom splited in half and all the areas he conquered were lost.

Solomon was THE leader, but his underlings were a group of greedy morons!
Think of it as the Israeli version of the fall of the Greek Empire after Alexander.

G-Man: Modern israel is within the american cultural orbit (it is westernised, globalised, and has mc donalds), true its Arab (christian and muslim), Ethiopian Jewish and Arab Jewish (the ones that fled the arab countries in the late fourties, and early 50's) provide a nice mix, but the rulers are as european as Classical Music. And ideas such as zionist socialism, and the like are european ideas, coming from the tradition of Marx and other great jewish political thinkers.

Israeli culture is VERY different then the American or european one. I've been to europe a few times and Israel is something completely different.

what is this civ3mod.bic? The only file I see is civ3mod with NO extension under WME. Is this the same file as the .bic one?

axe-man, either stop trolling or get a clue.

I've seen you post in several threads with mods regarding Israel. Your knowledge is unfounded and very very wrong.

You have blurry general ideas about Israel which are far from the truth, so I suggest you stop spreading them around.
