shai, i just realized this, but you made a mistake.

i had a melee skill of 5, not 0. check the old tournament thread if you need to
 
Does using a catapult require range skills? If so? How do I train that? Can I train them by myself?

Actually, I want to become the catapult drillmaster myself, so couldn't I just train myself?
 
Shabba, I don't think that having a catapult for personal use affects or is affected by the combat stats. I've been using my catapults for a long time and I don't even a ranged ability. And don't forget, catapults with Fanatikan Fire (kind of like napalm..) available at the Futuristic Weapons Shop.
 
Catapult skills would actually be based on mathematics and other esoteric abilities. I have been thinking of expanding to include a WARFARE main skill with subskills of Tactics, Strategy and Leadership. Any thoughts?
 
The Term is almost over. At the end of each term, each character may raise a single main skill or subskill to the next full point. Each player should decide what stat they want raised and let me know in this thread or by PM.

Stat improvements for the Crusade will also be coming fairly soon (as soon as the war is over).
 
I guess go ahead and raise mine in speed. I need to get faster so I can do better in the races. :)
