okay as this was a noble threadi thought oh never mind so what can i become at the moment i believe i am an earl is there an possibility of me being a prince anytime soon

There's the Noble Court thread for stuff like that.

You're an Earl right now (same rank as Duke). The requirements for Prince are 4 contiguous (touching) tiles and 1000g investiture. As soon as you have the tiles and money you can go for prince.

can i get a position for cheaper but still get income per turn?

Sure. Just look at the rule thread (link in first post of this thread goes right to the section for this). The prices of investiture and house requirements are listed.

The title of squire has no housing requirement. In fact, as I'm just about out of squires you could become the next Squire of Vanir if you'd like.

Yes, you get your investiture paid for you, the standard squire pay, and he'll pay 50% of your academy course costs...he also buys some war equipment you probably already have(although i didn't )

Hey Gonz, Fanatikas Futurist wishes to become a Baron. I have 4 continuous (and 2 non) land tiles. Do I have to pay (please say i dont)

After the recent availability, I gained 2 new tiles contigous will Doughnutia. I have 1280g of investiture left over from the tourney which I wish to spend a few new titles...

I am now Octavian X, King of Doughnutia, Duke of Augusta, Count of St. Mark's Point, Knight of the Cedar.

All squires get 5g per chat and all knights get 10g per chat.

Squires and Knights of Vanir have other benefits. As Prince of Vanir, I pay the investiture for the Squires of Vanir. I also pay investiture for a Squire to become a Knight of Vanir. Squires and Knights of Vanir are given permanent quarters at The Marillion (luxury rooms). They receive 50% off of training at The Academy or 100% off if I am teaching the course. I also equip all Squires with a warhorse and barding plus armor, sword, shield and spear if they lack any of these things. Lands owned by Squires and Knights of Vanir are also under the cloak of Vanir's protection.
